| 35. Nope. I had six siblings, too, and my parents never laid a hand on any of us - as it should be. |
| 43, no. |
| 44, no. I was at my bffs house once when her little brother got spanked and it struck me as absolutely bizarre and cruel for a grown woman to just a ore-schooler. |
| I was spanked this morning. |
| Age 67, was spanked. Stopped around 10. I think my generation produced kinder and more polite children. |
+1 49 yr old Korean immigrant. At least I never had to do the kneeling punishment. |
Prime example of why you shouldn't spank your kids. Some grow up to like it.

54M, British, frequently spanked with flat of hand, wooden spoon, hairbrush, ruler, belt, etc. In the late 60s/early 70s it was pretty common. In retrospect I regard it as terrible parenting and totally unnecessary.
Incidentally, back then corporal punishment was still used in schools. Teachers would hit your open palm with a ruler or slap your ass with their hand, a ruler, or a cane. |
Same. I also got warnings and spanking was threatened. If I openly defied the warnings, I got a quick spank a few times. My parent is a child psychologist and was very judicious and calm, but is not a "no spanking, EVER" person. |
50s... got a lot more than spanking by teachers. different country though and getting beat the sh8t out of you was normal. |
| 52. Nope. |
| 48 yes. It was my mother. She would spank and use a wood spoon or belt. She could only do it till I became bigger and stronger vs her. |
