Moms who nursed and used cannabis

Anonymous
^ PP here to add, even though I turned out ok, my mother was taking a risk, she felt it was necessary given how ill she was.

If you feel the need to smoke just cause, you should switch to formula

But here is the rub--you already know what the answer is. That's why you came here and asked. Why?

Because You Know It Is Wrong.

You know it, deep down like you know that you love your kid. Deep down inside no matter how many pro-pot people chime in and tell you it will be alright. Deep down, you already know this is the wrong thing to be doing.

Listen to what you know to be right. Protect your child from the nonsense you read on the Internet.

Get some help and stop smoking while breastfeeding your child.

Op here. Thank you.

LOL, what's a 'lousier'? Also, those should be "you're"s. You'RE welcome.

Lol! You are so clueless. How do you "know" who all these pot smokers are?

As THC consumer myself I would not consume THC while nursing, just the same as I didnt consume alcohol while nursing. I dont need to know the research. It doesn't matter. Anything I consume, my baby consumed. Unless you are willing to drop it in your babys mouth directly, you shouldn't consume it while nursing.

What is sad is how all of you knuckleheads fall each time for the most common DCUM parlor trick.

This assembly of posters seems to have fallen out of the Stupid Tree and hit every branch on the way down

Really! Most of my friends (male and female) will smoke pot occasionally, not in front of our kids but definitely if we all get a chance to socialize together at a bbq for adults or whatever, but we all fit some variation of soccer parent, social nerd, nothing special kind of 30 something person. We all recognize the priviledge we have bc no one is busting in our door when plenty of poor people of color sit in jail for this harmless drug. That's why we want to legalized. Its just ridiculous.

Also. OP, dont take the risk.

no, what mold? Lots of diversity in cannabis use.

...but very little diversity in the population of people who would even consider risking their child's health and wellbeing by exposing them directly, just so they can get high

This is assuming that the only reason someone would use cannabis is to "get high"
What about people who use for chronic pain relief? Or as an anxiolytic? The drugs "approved" to use in breastfeeding for those conditions are few and far between...and usually the consensus is that if the benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risks to the baby, they are recommended. Why should cannabis be any different?

Because of the harm is does to the developing brain and because formula feeding is perfectly appropriate alternative.

Totally agreed. Wouldn't take the risk.

But, these people who think that everyone who smokes pot occasionally is a loser delinquent are really strange. I know tons of parents who smoke/vape/eat edibles, and most of them are highly successful people and great parents. I wonder if these people have ever smoked too, because they seem to think taking a hit off a vape pen is the equivalent of doing a speedball or smoking meth that's going to make you so high you run around naked speaking your own make up "language" to imaginary friends. It's like having a second glass of wine, people.

You seem to have mixed up breastfeeding with pregnancy.

Use formula if you take medical marijuana.

No, it's not.

If you want to keep drinking and drugging, you shouldn't have kids till you are ready to grow up and be a parent. Parents put their kids needs first.

Very true.

THC is not physically addictive
THC will not give you a hangover
THC will not disrupt sleep patterns

Now that I'm 40, I cant drink ANY alcohol without feeling like trash the next day. It levels such abuse on my body, that I find it intolerable with even the smallest amounts of consumption. In 2018, I've had maybe 5 glasses of wine. It is just not worth the battering it gives my body.

I want to hear more opinions. I love my kid but I think pot is good for me.
