Solidcore pricing

Let's say you are a 5x/week customer

OTF @179/20 classes = 8.95/class
SC @400/20 classes = 20/class

I like SC but not enough to pay $400/month. Let's be honest, there are some weeks when I can barely make it to 3 classes a week. And OTFs schedule is much more flexible with earlier start times. SCs first class is 6am which means you're not leaving there until 6:55 at the very earliest. OTFs first class is 5am. By 6, I'm done. By 7, I've gone to the grocery store to pick up dinner and had a shower already. I need to be home no later than 6:30 to get the kids motivated to get to school. Starting morning routine at 7am is just too late.

Ok, we get it, you are mad about the price increase! Now you suddenly hate the timing too.

You know they’re completely different workouts, right? I don’t need to pay for HIIT using equipment I have in my gym or at home.

It is a good core workout and much cheaper.

Yes. This is exactly it. Another annoying thing is for those that frequent the off-peak classes, it would be incredibly annoying to purchase a single class every time you book one. For those that have complained, has anyone received a response yet? Would love to hear how they plan on smoothing this over.

Do people truly think they are raising prices because they need to or because they can? I haven't noticed any significant drop in attendance in the classes I've been to. The only exception being some of the newer coaches that have less of a following.

Totally agree! Im an off-peak customer (weird work hours) who often bought those packages. I’m leaving after this. Totally unacceptable. Someone should send this thread to corporate.

Not sure who is in charge of the business model but if you follow their social media they are constantly adding new locations. How about working to fill classes at lower prices where you currently are, and make customers feel valued? This is a ship on its way to sinking. Too bad because it could have been managed differently.

I can do a “good core workout” on my own.

NP here. HELL YES! It is absolutely ok to be mad about the price increase and only natural to compare the workout/hours/prices to their competitors. The whole purpose of this thread is to allow those of us who feel disappointed to commiserate and discuss alternate options. Why do you feel the need to criticize our discussion? If you are fine w/ a company with a high rate coach turnover, continuing to increase prices every year then carry on! But stop cock-blocking our attempt to voice our anger.

I have an old colleague who works at corporate, I’m sending her this.

Ok. Then why are you on here bitching about solid core pricing and asking about alternatives? Either pay the solidcore price or workout at home. Problem solved.

My point is that OTF is not anything special, whereas solidcore is. I'm the OP, and have not been asking for alternatives. Frankly, I don't think there are other workouts that replicate solidcore. As I posted earlier, even Lagree, which is the closest thing, is boring by comparison. Seriously: anyone who truly loves and gets solidcore isn't going to be satisfied with OTF, or barre, or jazzercise or whatever. And if you don't love it, this isn't the thread for you. Problem solved.

Ease up PP! The poster was just reiterating that they can get a good workout elsewhere. Again, yet another voice showcasing disappointment in the latest solidcore changes. Stop stifling enraged voices. Let us speak!

I'm a longtime client at Solidcore, and I completely agree. For me personally, getting rid of the 40 pack for $1160 is the worst. It's not a good move to take incentives away from your most loyal users!

They didn't get rid of it. Check your app or the website.

For off peak users who go multiple times a week, it will now require you to make separate purchases for each and every reservation. Credit card companies/banks often freeze a credit card or deny a transaction for multiple transactions online that seem like duplicates, and it happened to me recently with solid core when I was trying to reserve multiple special mock training classes. Those mock classes, when solidcore offers them, also require separate transactions to reserve, and I was trying to reserve three different days, and after the first reservation Citibank started denying my transaction as “duplicate”. It was super frustrating.

I predict the same thing will start happening next week when I try to reserve multiple off peak classes. Ugh. I wish there was an off peak package again, even if it didn’t offer a discount beyond the off peak package.

I did check. It was there last week, but it's gone this morning at the Wildwood studio website. The prices may vary between studios, I imagine.
