Anyone else notice they just jacked their prices? I *love* solidcore, but this change is completely uncool. They raised their rates too much, too fast. Just wondering if anyone else noticed and is grumpy about it like me. ![]() |
I like SolidCore too but I stopped because of the prices and I couldn't do the off-peak consistently. I keep wondering how long all these boutique fitness places can stay afloat. There is SolidCore, Barre, Soul Cycle, OrangeTherory, Core Power, etc. They are all so expensive. |
I could manage the prices by buying a 40 pack when they had a sale. They haven't had a sale in months, and now a monthly unlimited is $400. That's insane. Debating how best to give them this feedback. I absolutely love it, but this just pisses me off. |
I woke up this morning to the email regarding pricing and was so upset! I typically go 3-4 times a week and spend $25.50/class based on the 40 pack and 12% off. Even that is too much! I've been waiting for another sale, but there haven't been any! I could logistically go to all off peak, but they just got rid of the 10-pack of off peak. Ive been so loyal for 2 years, but am now so upset at this. I feel completely taken advantage of. It is probably time to move on. I was actually looking for other type of classes this morning. So upset. |
Does anyone have suggestions for similar classes in the area? |
I noticed that too, although I mainly do off peak. They changed it over the weekend because on Saturday night I was signing up for classes and needed to buy a new set and the 10 pack off peak wasn’t an option anymore.
I go to the one in OT which has a pretty solid off peak following so hopefully they won’t cut classes or jack up off peak prices. But they did change off peak packages too. |
Did they get rid of the 10 pack off-peak? It's NOT worth $37/class, and I'm a devotee. It's just not. |
yep. 10 pack off-peak is gone.
Now it's $27/off peak class |

+1. I have noticed they say they listen to feedback, but they definitely don't seem to listen to any feedback from the people I know that have recently tried to give them feedback. I am so sad, I really love the workout, but I can't justify paying the new prices. I know it is a business and they need to make money, but I'm not sure this is going to have the intended effect. I hope you are able to give them the feedback and that they listen. I think they are going to lose a lot of loyal clients over this. |
OP here-glad I’m not the only one furious over these changes (and at the incredibly disingenuous email they sent announcing them).
Who do we send feedback to? Studio managers? |
In my experience the Studio Managers don't seem to have a lot of pull and may or may not pass concerns along--I could be wrong. Maybe trying to email someone at corporate? I don't know who...is the founder's email still on the website? |
I agree the email was incredibly badly done. Couching it as based on feedback? Your clientele is educated and not buying it. Wonder if they're expanding too fast. |
I think the tree is dying and they are trying to keep afloat. My barre studio did a very similar increase (same terrible email too) about 3 years ago when that trend went on the decline. I am a fad fitness person and Ive seen a million things come and go and this is kinda always the mountain/valley of it. I just hope to something else with a groupon and keep it moving. I recently went back to jazzercise in some random church basement someone told me about! Talk about old school. I come out drenched in sweat and its 9.50 a class for a walk in or 8/ a class with a punch card. I just decide what Im willing to pay per fitness class and leave when it extends that because there is SO SO SO much competition in this arena there is always something else. |
trend not tree lol |
This is so sad since the workout is SO effective. Any recs on other classes/places to try? |
