I'm not Swami, but why are you shoving mandarin down the throat of a kingergartener? Or French or Spanish for that matter? It's too late to do this. Seriously, it's not worth it unless you're extremely dedicated.

No it’s not. How in the world is age 5 too old to start a new language. Stop giving bad advice to this parent on here. If you’re not swami hush

Oh please. People start immersion school in K all the time. It's not a big deal.

Yu Ying not gonna happen, though.

No big deal? I guess if your standards are extremely low. What is the point if your child is absurdly behind everyone else? You're really considering a DPR "Spanish" camp to be some sort of way you can judge your children's aptitude? How does that help them in French? Or mandarin? SMH.

You are crazy. My child started immersion in K, picked up the target language quickly and is ahead in both math and reading.

Yes, it is not a big deal. Please calm down. Mundo Verde adds a lot of students in K, which they would not do if this was so impossible. In Montgomery County, they have immersion elementary schools that have no preschool at all. DC will be behind at the beginning, but with support at home, will soon catch up. DC is well ahead in reading English and in math, so if those subjects plateau for a little while, that's fine.

I wonder why this is so upsetting to you. Lots of people do it.

Why do all of you start making trouble, arguing, and offering your own opinions on posts dedicated to swami? She has said before that this immature bickering when nobody asked Amy of you your opinions is the reason she doesn’t want to help. Just list your schools and let’s wait for swami. Stop offering your unsolicited commentary to other people’s lists when they didn’t ask you for it! Good God!

Yup. This isn’t a place to critique a list. And plus, if poster wanted opinions on that they would have asked in a thread about rate my list or whatever.

Either way, nobody is asking for anyone’s opinion on this post. If you aren’t swami keep it to yourself

If you're putting your info on here, sorry but that is fair game.

Hi husband

Why did you put Langley over Noyes? Just curious.

Not PP, but in the same situation. Noyes is automatic entry if you're IB. So there's no use putting it any higher than 12.

Langley is better than Noyes.

Hope Swami comes back!
