Anyone tried Peleton Bikes for the home?

Any huge difference between the Flywheel and Peloton classes? Think SoulCycle will come out with one next...

I've been experiencing a lot of buffering lately in the classes. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Not me personally but many riders have been complaining about that on the peloton fb group I joined.

She's my favorite, too!

Any other favorites? I liked Nicole but I don't think she is there anymore so I am running out of her classes to take

I LOVED Nicole Meline. She left over a year ago. I follow her on Instagram and fb and she’s pretty active on both. It doesn’t appear she will be coming back to Peloton which is a real shame.

I also love Robin, Alex and Cody. My current favorite ride is the Robin and DJ John Michael 45 min Friday rides. I also get great numbers on all of Alex’s rides.

Did anyone read about Peloton announcing today they are releasing a treadmill with a tablet, and from the video it looks like they are trying to tap the Orange Theory class market. I am super interested.

Yes! I got an email about that today. I already have a treadmill at home so I’m hoping the treadmill classes will also be available through the app subscription (I already use the app without a Pelo bike).

No buffering issues here.

I ride around 5X a week and work out with a trainer the other two days so I get most of my cardio from the Pelo.

Really love it. It's a fun product.

+1. We have the same set-up.

Yup I would NEVER buy a Pelaton because this screen cannot play anything else. The Pelaton is about 1K over priced.

Funny - I was just saying that I would have paid triple what I paid for mine - it's just awesome

The classes with personal stats are the only reason to use it, for me.

Interesting. I used to love live spinning classes, but then joined Orange Theory 2 years ago and am addicted. I ride the bike at Orange Theory, standing up mostly, and matching my cadence to the music. So fun. I worry I would get lonely if I had Peloton, since I enjoy the social aspect at OTF. The instructors at my studio are great and friendly, and I like encouraging others and being encouraged. I also enjoy racing men on the rower for meters, that is where I get my competition in I guess.

I currently do OT as well, my only issue is that our studio, they have one bike and one elliptical, and that isn't enough to go around sometimes. I know that most people run, but I would like a little more focus on the spinning OTers as well. I think Peloton might be a good companion to OT. Maybe OT will tweak the program a bit now that Peloton is coming for them directly with their new treadmill program. We'll see.

Pp here with a Peloton bike. I loved my local spinning studio too, I WAH so I would go during the daytime hours when kids wee in school because with kids doing. 5 or 7pm class is not doable for me. It was locally and female owned, nice community, I made friends with many regulars. And then, one by one, they cut every single daytime weekday class, so only classes at 5:45am or 7am, and then not again until 5pm. None. Except during the weekend. I was able to do a class every weekday and now there was nothing. I was doing the monthly pass, which was pretty economical for me because I went 5-6 days a week. where I am in Alexandria there is no other spin studio nearby (but tons of barre and OT, go figure). They thought of having to drive 20-30 minutes to a studio, have enough time to park, set up my bike, and then drive the same distance home just made the class twice as long. another rider in my predicament told me she bought a Peloton when the studio cut all the daytime classes, so after research I bought one too and have zero regrets. I recently completed my 300th class, I’ve had it for a year.

I do miss the community of the studio, but being able to take any class at any time in my house with 5 minutes prep is incredible. I am super interested in the pelotred as the email they sent peoloton users and the promo video states they will focus on full body classes, which to me means OT type workouts.

Actually, the guy at the store was telling us the screen is just an android tablet. If you are tech savvy, you can jail break it (it would void the warranty, but you can do it).

That looked expensive tome. I saw that it will have all kind of online trading options. Agree, it's the OT market.

I use the BTR classes from the bike screen. I just set it up where I can see the screen. I don’t use the app
