Panera Bread is so gross, how did this place ever become a "thing"?

However, I won't completely write it out! The coffee, pastries, and bagels/breads are fine. Great place to grab a breakfast on the go in the morning. It's our go-to after 5K races or the likes. At our particular location, it's a popular spot for high schoolers to meet up to study and work on group projects.

The original St. Louis Bread Co used to mix their own flavored cream cheese in house for the bagels and they had around 8-10 different flavors depending on the day. I miss that.

Subway IS PLASTIC.

50% plastic, 20% preservatives, the rest is food (sort of).

My parents love eating at Panera. I pray my hometown doesn't get one or we'll be eating that every time we go for a visit!

I only eat breakfast there - egg and cheese sandwich or a bagel, and their app is a big incentive. I put in my order when I leave home in the morning, run in and grab it on my way to the metro without interacting with anyone. Agree the quality has gone downhill in recent years, but the egg sandwich is still good!

The people that work there are bottom of the barrel. They just don't seem clean or at all hard working, to me. Chipotle seems to have staff issues, too.

More to the point, I'd gladly pay higher prices if the food was top shelf (it's def not) and/or the employees were aces (they're not).

Their gigantic bagels are low grade (more like huge pieces of bread) and even worse, they go through the effort of putting cream cheese on them. They give you some freezing cold side of cream cheese. Place is just awful.

It's garbage empty calorie not fresh at all fast food. The meal you paid $25 for isn't worth $5.

Sorry but again, I don't find $25 expensive for two meals and drinks.

So in addition to their calorie fat & sodium bomb meals, you take their sugar bomb drinks too. Yikes.

Lmao Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realize getting 2 water bottles with our meals was a sugar bomb. You seem overly angry with Panera lmao move on

It's obvious that you keep posting over and over. We all get it, you think Panera is "trashy". However I'm willing to bet you aren't that spectacular yourself.

because people in places like Dumfries, VA think it is high-brow.

I thought it was good 10-15 years ago. I've been twice in the past 10 years and both times not good.

Honestly, ruined my day.

Ok, precious

Who sits around thinking about stuff like this? FFS just don't eat there!

Cookies are yucky - no butter, just made with tasteless oils.
