I still wish DH was more involved with his parents, called them and spoke to them about plans. All of that has fallen to me and there's constant annoyance from my inlaws about this and they direct it at me. For instance, we're going on vacation this weekend with inlaws and DH hasn't yet figured out what day we're going, the address of the house rental or whether any reservations or plans have been made for the weekend. And I'm not about to add it to my mountain of to-do s.

And? If I want something done the way I want it I make the plans. Otherwise don't agree to go. Stop harping.

Post that on the thread with the husband whining about how he wants his wife to call a gardener so he doesn't have to do any work. He needs to stop harping.

You mean the military guy that has been deployed and wife wants him to do stuff from overseas? Yeah that guy is completely unreasonable for not doing the yard work.

Yeah. Because husband's don't do yard work. Nor do they clean the house, do repairs, help with cars, etc. And wives don't clean, cook, do childcare, do household work, etc

Magical elves do it all. It's great.

I am pretty sure mowing a yard in DC when you are overseas is not easily done, nor are repairs on the home, fixing the car, etc. While I am not personally deployed, I have found that while on international business trips, mowing the grass and fixing things when I am on different continent is impossible for me. But I am a man, if I were a woman I am sure I could accomplish it.

It is easily done, however, when you are BACK IN DC (obviously, but since you seem to have taken a kindergarten level understanding of the situation, it must be said).

Anything is better than a Husband, they are all lazy little babies.

That's the way to do it. Nothing makes the DCUM male losers (and they are losers, hanging out on a women's parenting forum) than this. Virtual high five.

This thread would make any woman a lesbian. My God.

So let me get this straight- if men choose not to marry, they are smart because women are shrill harpies. But if women choose not to marry, they are bitter old cat ladies.

I really do feel bad for the guys who think this way. I know a lot of it comes from an inability to relate to women- or even people in general- due to being special needs and growing up in a time where SN wasn't recognized and help wasn't available. I have family members like that, and while the things they say about women are truly disgusting, I know they are also in a lot of pain and struggling to make it through each day.

Help is available. There's no shame in seeking therapy.

The "Dads" is in subscript. Did you think the forum was nicknamed DCUMAD?

The entire site is a parenting forum. You must be new.

So long as you don't sue for child support later on then more power to you. It's hard work raising a child even more so alone and very expensive at least in this area.
