And all of you DCUM ladies wonder why your husbands cheat on you!

I don't have kids yet but I would be sad if my husband felt like he was "behind" our future kids. That said, the only way it seems like that can be avoided is if I am not, in fact, busy 100% of the time with work, kids, and household duties.

Why do you think so many DH toil away as breadwinner while wives stay home with kids? This is how has always been, natural order to some degree.

Dad here, I agree on this. But I also had affairs, which were also part of the natural order of things. Can't have one without the other.

Yup, this is the only normal reaction. I would certainly have affairs if I was considered an accessory and a means to an ends.

You better hide that shit good. I would OWN you if that happened.

Any guy jealous of his kids is a big douche. You've earned your spot in the caste of the house.

Are your kids or your spouse your top priority?

American men are so creepy and narcissistic. What's up with you losers being jealous of your own offspring when your wives are devoted mothers? In my culture, a devoted mother is respected by all, especially her husband who has the peace of mind that his legacy is in good hands.

You sound like such a loving wife. And no, you wouldn't.

Men put themselves and their job above women all the time.

A wife put HIS kids 1st and gets a cheating H.

Pathetic!

Do you have self esteem issues? Did you parents pay enough attention to you?

Who is #3?

hope she's not ranking the kids 1 over the other that's a recipe for disaster.

Everyone is my #1 me, my husband and my kids, the immediate needs might shift in who gets taken care of first, but as far as my heart and mind go they're all my # 1s

Because they are whiny babies?

Real men get that children are not self-sufficient and husbands are. It takes a crap load of work to raise them to be self-sufficient. It seems OP's mom failed in that endeavor. Maybe because OP's dad didn't pull his share, either.
