Best concert experience for me was Springsteen at the Verizon Center. I'd love to see U2 at a small venue.

I was really disappointed with the Zac Brown Band at Jiffy Lube last year. No energy and just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I had thought it would be a great concert.

I'm so disappointed to hear this. Hopefully ZBB is better in a smaller venue (although how they sellout stadium tours all over, I don't know). The Patriot Center event has other artists as well. Including Keith Urban--who always looks like he's giving 110% to his concert audience. Hoping for a fun night.

I'm the ZBB PP. What event is this? It sounds great!! FWIW I've seen Keith Urban and he's awesome in concert. Maybe it was just an off night for ZBB.

^^Joe Walsh's Vet's Aid. Sept 20 at Eagle Bank (?) or whatever GMU arena is called now. With ZBB, KU & Gary Clark Jr. With a promised guitar hero mashup at the end. Hope it's good.

He puts on an absolutely amazing show. Costume changes for every song - major ones too, like the entire fat-MJ getup for "Fat," with skits and video montages to keep you entertained while he is backstage. Incredible energy, and he involves the crowd with many of the songs. It's a really long show too, 3+ hours with no opening act.

If you ever get the chance to see him, I highly recommend it.

I saw him 20 years ago back home in Delaware. It was a free show and the crowd was Huge. We had a blast.

We also saw KC and the sunshine Band there. That was also fun.

I only saw Bruce once in 99, but yes, that show was amazing!

Was this her Drowned World tour? That was my first Madonna concert, I really enjoyed it - much more than the one I attended after her SuperBowl performance. What didn't you like about it?

Yes, that was it. It was my first and only madonna show. Ugh, she was into the weird electronica mess and didn't play much of her popular music. And the stage show was just fracking bizarre. I wish I'd been old enough for blonde ambition-that's the madonna I would have rather seen.

A Tribe Called Quest in Atlanta circa 2006. Puff Daddy came out about 3/4 through the show and was booed!

So I just saw punch brothers last night and it was pretty spectacular.

A secret, all ages show at a small venue in Nashville because the kids in the crowd were INTO IT and so was the band.

1984 at the Cap Center! I was there.

I stumbled in Keith Urban while searching for great guitar players about 10 years ago. I've now seen him live many times and he is amazing live. And I don't listen to country radio.

I said Prince earlier (2004 Musicology tour!) but give an honorable mention to Lauryn Hill in 1999. I know she's fallen way off and her concerts are notorious in a bad way now but she was amazing in her prime. I really wish she would get it together.

Arcade Fire
Coldplay
Taylor Swift

All great shows, for different reasons

U2 Joshua Tree tour. The 1987 show was as good as the 2017 show but for different reasons.

Such a good question OP. I go to a lot, even since having kids we try to do at least 3-5 a year, which I guess includes some smaller venue shows.

I don;t know what I would pick, but I'll go see even bands I've never heard of if I like the opening act, I love concerts.
