Best concert you ever went to as an adult?

George Clinton, 9:30 club. So much fun!

This is hard but I would say the best was Roger Waters, followed by Elton John.

Janet Jackson's Velvet Rope
Prince's Diamond and Pearls
Michael Jackson's Bad

Shakey Graves! I make a point to see him every time he's in town and he's always different and always worth it. Alabama Shakes are amazing live, too. Her voice is something special.

Prince was great, although I was in my early 20s and it was the 80s so I was not quite an adult.

I am not a Bruce fan but actually enjoyed the Bruce concert at nats park last summer. Also loved Bon Jovi at Verizon a few years ago.

One of my favorites in recent years was Peter Frampton at a small venue.

Them Crooked Vultures at the 9:30 club.

Darius Rucker last year.

Dan and Shay at the Fillmore.

Best concert experience for me was Springsteen at the Verizon Center. I'd love to see U2 at a small venue.

I was really disappointed with the Zac Brown Band at Jiffy Lube last year. No energy and just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I had thought it would be a great concert.

Omg I was just about to post this!! He's not my favorite artist but it was definitely the most memorable performance experience EVER. So wacky, so insanely funky. And so long. It was like four hours of nonstop groove. The mushroom cloud of weed smoke that went up as soon as the show started was pretty epic. I'll never forget it!!

I saw him twice but one time I saw him at this club in SW DC called The Capitol Ballroom (later changed it's name to Nation). It's not there anymore but anyone remember it? Anyway, it was Prince and he had Doug E Fresh with him and Larry Graham. It was small and intimate and absolutely amazing.

Yes. I saw INXS there! Not a great concert though. Sometimes really crappy other people ruin it at small venues. At big ones they are forced to behave a little more. Though at merriweather we were greatly amused by "aisle girls" recently. They walk down to our great section with no seat and try to be "with" a guy on the end. Until mgmt or the girlfriend on the other side send them on their way. Who can enjoy a concert like this?!

Prince. Purple Rain. Nothing else even comes close.

Bowie. Forever and always.

Nick Cave puts on an amazing show.

Probably Paul McCartney at FedEx or Tom Petty with Crosby Stills and Nash. RHCP was pretty awesome too.

I don't know if this really counts as a show I went to as an "adult" but my first Phish show, at the old Philly Spectrum, was awesome. I got into front row just in time for "Free" -- amazing!

I'm so disappointed to hear this. Hopefully ZBB is better in a smaller venue (although how they sellout stadium tours all over, I don't know). The Patriot Center event has other artists as well. Including Keith Urban--who always looks like he's giving 110% to his concert audience. Hoping for a fun night.
