Best concert you ever went to as an adult?

I saw Death Cab in 2005 at 930 club and it was so boring. They sounded great but lacked any energy. It was like I was listening to their cd in a crowded room.

Also saw Justin Timberlake at 930 in 2006 just before futuresexlovesounds came out and it was unreal. Timbaland joined for a bit. One of the best shows ever. Just saw him at Verizon center or whatever it’s called now. Still a great performer but nothing like that small venue performance.

dcfc at the Anthem was similar. Ben Gibbard came alive when Chvrches hit the stage (Lara Mayberry) for “Northern Lights.” She boosted the energy level dancing all over stage, but the audience was pretty boring. It was and is my favorite on the album. Everyone just stood there, but I was up high dancing in the dark. The band sounded great but it was low energy for sure.

Best concert experience for me was Springsteen at the Verizon Center. I'd love to see U2 at a small venue.

I was really disappointed with the Zac Brown Band at Jiffy Lube last year. No energy and just didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I had thought it would be a great concert.

I'm so disappointed to hear this. Hopefully ZBB is better in a smaller venue (although how they sellout stadium tours all over, I don't know). The Patriot Center event has other artists as well. Including Keith Urban--who always looks like he's giving 110% to his concert audience. Hoping for a fun night.

I'm the ZBB PP. What event is this? It sounds great!! FWIW I've seen Keith Urban and he's awesome in concert. Maybe it was just an off night for ZBB.

I was coming here to say Keith Urban! He was so good. I really loved the covers he did at the end too. Like the joker from Steve Miller band. The whole concert was so good.

I was at the dcfc concert sitting in the “excellent seats” and from my vantage point, couldn’t disagree with you more

Ben’s voice was poetic, band was spot-on even after adding a new guitarist, the lighting and special effects - modern and exciting. He commanded the room evident when he sang “I will follow you into the dark” solo.

I never understand the love of Bob Dylan.

Dude can't sing, not even a little bit.

I can’t even come up with a best. I have so many that I’ve loved. Erasure, Green Day, Foo, Matt Nathanson, Andrew McMahon, P!nk, Panic!, Walk the Moon, etc.

But worst—every Jimmy Eat World show ever and Counting Crows. Never again.
