Well, sure, but piling on with all the posts claiming the guy demonstrated extremely poor judgment by taking his clothes off in the locker room of a private gym that isn't even in Arlington seems over the top. Is it really so much to suggest this needs to be resolved in the courts. Few of us want to live in a world where judgments with long-term consequences are based merely on accusations.

This. Not to mention the bloviating post at the top is saying because he was a teacher, he should not be able to do what every other gym goer takes for granted- use the locker room.

Sorry, not OP or PP, but totally disagree. I have a parent teacher. Teachers held to a different standard whether on job, or not. You can use a locker room, yes, but if teenagers present, and you instruct teenagers, then you better hold yourself to a higher standard then every other gym goer, and certainly not expose yourself. These kids are not his students, so hard to imagine an obvious motive to totally fabricate the allegations. My parents think he should be investigated. A couple of thin-skinned people on this board supporting the teacher, that is what is most interesting.

^Good grief, no one here is saying he shouldn't be investigated.

+1. And yet the bloviating continues (17:10).

Investigation? sure.
However if this man is innocent, he is still ruined. Every google search of his name is forever linked to this.Yes teachers should make way less money than other professionals of similar and in many cases lesser education. They should be held to higher standards as well
What a great profession.

Honestly, Jeff should consider deleting this thread. Due process should be respected. It's obviously hard for some people to grasp how the justice system works.

Not going to happen unfortunately. Too much local interest in this story for parents and students. Not sure why all of you are debating the legal system when it would be more helpful for parents or friends in the know to post some additional information that was obviously left out of the news reports on the web. What exactly does "exposing" yourself mean? If it was the basis for a crime, then it has to be something more then walking naked to the shower and back.

I wonder if there's some form of professional insurance to cover career-ending false accusations....

Amazed that there are parents on this forum already maligning these two teens by implying they concocted this story or the accusations are false or surely the teacher must be innocent because "we all are allowed to walk around nude in locker rooms as we please." Wow. Very sad for these boys and their families who aren't even in this teacher's school district. I think most parents want to hear more about what the boys saw the teacher actually doing.

Also, the PP complaining about people and the media reporting/judging this teacher based simply on his arrest and thereby ruining his career . . . give me a break, instead of taking this thread down from the top of the forum and letting it die, you keep highlighting it and perpetuating it with your awful comments that do make it appear as if you are friends with the teacher, or even the teacher himself.
