Yorktown teacher charged with exposing himself to teens at McLean gym

Anonymous
I know one thing, this teacher is for sure an idiot. If you are in a locker room and see teenagers around, I don't care what the situation is or what is legally allowed, you don't walk around naked, and you don't certainly look at them. Put a towel on. I don't care what your habits are, or what some men like to do, you simply don't do it in that situation if you don't want to take a chance of being arrested. Now that he is arrested, he is going to live with the consequences of giving the police probable cause to arrest him. All the defenders of this idiot are talking about things that are completely irrelevant to the situation. I could give you countless stories of teachers who do in fact abuse teenagers srxually, but I don't because that is irrelevant to this guy. Bottom line: This is a story that everyone in the media will be following, it is fair to do so, and to all the defenders, I say what are you going to cry about next when a district attorney decides there is enough evidence to prosecute the idiot?!? Yes you are innocent until proven guilty in this country, unlike others, but you are pretty naive to think that is how life works. Judgements are made all the time based on your arrest record, whether charged or not. Then if you get actually charged with a crime and prosecuted, more judgments are made. This includes not only in job applications, but also in your ability to practice law after a bar ethics examination. Our legal system cares about arrests, so accept it and quit whining with ridiculous defenses of this idiot. All the defenders of this potential pervert are clueless. In fact, these defenders may all be the same person. Many, many, many parents will be following this story to see if the DA charges him. Right now, this teacher is under crinal investigation for a potential sex crime. Fair and accurate. Get a grip yourself.

Shut up and let this work itself through the system. You are a gasbag full of yourself with no more to add than anyone else.

+1

No one is defending him. We are not judging him or interested in spreading gossip. Big difference.

You added nothing to this discussion, what a hypocrite. PP is advocating judgments as the system works.

This makes no sense. Rolling Stone published a completely fabricated story about a rape and fraternity at UVA.
In this kind of situation someone's entire life is at stake. Wait.

Duke lacrosse. Another false accusation where they were GUILTY until proven innocent.

This is happening a lot on campus. My nephews have been repeatedly warned about drunken secbevause often there's a blurry line and somebody expressing shame or regret the day after will claim it wasn't consensual. The campus system is very much guilty furst.

Fake accusations do happen, but it is a fact that a "Yorktown teacher was charged with exposing himself to teens at McLean gym." Telling people they can't post about something that actually happened or mention the teacher's name, when actual sources of news are posting that it happened and providing the person's name, is just odd.

What on earth is wrong with men?! Why can't they control themselves?!

Seriously. So many pervs. Just look at the convicted sex offenders in your own town. Disgusting.

I know of people who are pussy grabbers and have been accused of marital rape. Nothing happens to them.

This is weird. People are always butt naked in the locker room. I didn't know anyone under 18 was allowed to go to a gym without a parent

Even my husband avoids the locker room because he has been hit on many times.

Adult male locker room is a big no until my boys are 18.

This is different than a locker room of their peers.

No going in with coach alone either. Jerry Sandusky.

Well, sure, but piling on with all the posts claiming the guy demonstrated extremely poor judgment by taking his clothes off in the locker room of a private gym that isn't even in Arlington seems over the top. Is it really so much to suggest this needs to be resolved in the courts. Few of us want to live in a world where judgments with long-term consequences are based merely on accusations.

Your husband must be pinging their gaydar. Most guys keep their eyes to themselves and never get "hit on" in a locker room.

This. Not to mention the bloviating post at the top is saying because he was a teacher, he should not be able to do what every other gym goer takes for granted- use the locker room.

OP's goal was not merely to report news. It's pretty clear from her post that she'd decided that not only was the person in question guilty but so were all men.
