Found a condom in my husband's car

I agree with others to sleuth and confront (speaking from experience), otherwise you never get the truth since they have time to hide their tracks.

The car is from way before we met and he drives it to and from work exclusively since he totalled the suv. I can't come up with anyone that would borrow it, friends have their own cars and nieces or nephews are too young to drive.

Condom is in a gold wrapper. I know if I confront him he'll probably deny or says it's his friends left it there as a joke. Theres an understanding between us that we would devorce before committing adultery.

What does this mean?

Once in a while I take a day off to binge on Netflix/read a novel/shopping, I saw several episodes of Making of a Murder and went shopping. None of these I could do with kids around. I also found 4 more condoms in the arm rest compartment (one expires 10/16, 3 expires 2/17) of his car with a bottle of lube (unopened). He never mailed a letter I addressed and stamped, asked him to mail it for me dated back to Feb 2014.

I do need to know the truth, just not ready to confront as I know he'll deny it.

Four more condoms and lube?? IN THE CAR! He's such an idiot. I'm sorry, OP. Pretty cut and dried here.

Sorry Op. Really obvious what's going on. Get tested.

The fact there are different expiration dates means he's at least been through one box and is on to another. No one night stand here.

Sounds like since you all had an understanding of divorce before infidelity, he wanted you to find all of this, to take the decision out of his hands. Now you know, and he's putting it on YOU to confront him and want a divorce.

If the condoms expire on those dates above, can someone tell me when they were manufactured?

I need to run to the store to find out.

I tried looking online but found nothing.

I'm really sorry, OP. When I was suspicious of my husband (working late all of a sudden, strange texting behavior), I took a look at his phone and there were texts galore to confirm things. I knew his password because we often used each others' devices and he forgot to delete everything. Anyway, he had to admit it when I mentioned the texts, and I think he would have tried to minimize it without the proof. But, honestly, you kind of already gave the proof with these condoms with different dates and the lube. I am so, so very sorry.

They are at most like 2 years old. Well within your marriage. The rubber starts to degrade after awhile so they don't have a terribly long shelf life before they "expire"

So strange that he left them in plain sight, and didn't even think to remove them before you used the car. Do you think he might subconsciously want to get caught? Or is he just a flakey person?

Regardless, there's no denying the evidence you found - it's pretty irrefutable. Why are you so sure he'll deny it?

Maybe the lube is because the door handle of the old car is squeaky?

kind of hot.

Just checked the condoms I bought last month, and they expire in 8/2018.

No manufacture date but I'm guessing shelf life is ~3 years.

Odd he would leave so many condoms out and let you take his car.
