Moms - would you hire a young beautiful nanny??

If you have to worry about your DH with the nanny, you are fighting a losing battle.

Because without the nanny it's a mystery to him that there are women out there who are younger and fitter?

What a mixed bag of reactions - entertaining too (in particular the porn star debate). All in all probably not helpful to the OP so, OP: just, go with your gut. However, that being said, perhaps having a little competition at home will cause the good wife to kick it up a notch in the bedroom to keep the hubby happy! Ya know, you can give him a little "porn star action yourself". Its all in the attitude!

Enough with the porn star notion! Kate upton makes money with her tits and ass, yes. But she doesn't f--k on camera for money.

The part about her wearing clothing that really showed off her body would be a red flag to me.
You can have a great body but not wear skintight clothes and low cut tops to work in someone's home as a nanny, and especially not at an interview.

DH here- please don't- my wife hired a pretty girl and I did not get a good night sleep for a year.

40's guy here with three kids. We've had lots of au pairs. I realized very early on that no good will ever come from having a hot au pair. The best case scenario is that the snide remarks are at a minimum. I've definitely agreed to decline potential au pairs because they were hot. I can't tell my wife that, though. It's not that I think I would cheat or that a 20-something hot chick would be attracted to my middle aged schlubbiness. It's just that nothing good will result. When it comes to au pairs, homeliness is goodliness.

I doubt that a cute, young nanny with a serious boyfriend is dying to jump into bed with some middle-aged dude with a Dad body. Y'all seriously overestimate the appeal of your husbands.

I already stare at my neighbor's middle schooler with her 1" inseam shorts. Kate Upton-like nanny would be the cherry on top.

if DH has a big ego, big dick and big bank account, any young hot thing will be all over him.

I would b/c I don't worry about those things (not really sure why). But if you're thinking it would bother you, then don't do it.

You don't get it: it doesn't matter that the DH will never get involved with the nanny and she would never consider it. It is the constant potential comparison in your own home. If they get along like you would hope with another nanny it is frightening, if they don't get along you can suspect a tension that may or may not come from somewhere else. I am a young mom, given that this is anonymous I would add that I am relatively proud of my looks (not a beauty but still good looking for my age and number of kids), my husband loves the way I look, I trust him and I am not worried he would cheat but still, I would never consider hiring a hot young woman who knows she is pretty and dresses the part (the clinging clothes are a red flag, if you are beautiful and want to be hired as a nanny, don't wear tight clothes, just don't). It just messes with everyone's head and as all the DH who commented in this thread said: it is a bad idea

I once worked with a lady who was a former nanny. The parents divorced and she married the father of the kids.

Men can develop feelings for (non-familial) women who look after their kids.... don't hire her.
