How did you invent the fiction that Bill Ayers ghost-wrote Obama's books? One thing we know about Obama is his writing ability -- which admittedly exceeds his political skills with Congress. By the way, weren't America's Founding Fathers "anti-colonialist"? |
no, not really Most first and second generation Italians were raised with a very strong work ethic b/c their parents did indeed love this country. My father, grandfather and uncle faced discrimination - weren't allowed to enter a southern diner b/c their skin was too dark, and other such nonsense. However, they worked their asses off and instilled in us a strong work ethic. Some of use went directly into the workforce/a trade; others graduated with college degrees. So while we're still tied to our cultural roots, we're American, too. This isn't the case with family members in Italy, however, who tend to criticize how we live. |

Liberals have hated Giuliani since he called out the liberal bigots for using our tax payer dollars to fund Piss Christ.
Giuliani is a mensch... liberals not so... liberals in fact are on the record wishing for the data of GWB and not a peep out of the sort who post here aggrieved that a man would have the temerity and the forthrightness to speak his mind. Me thinks liberals doth protest too loudly and I dare say its those who are offended by Giuliani's tame comment that don't love this country. |
Obama can write? Now that is a fiction! http://www.cashill.com/natl_general/did_bill_ayers_write_1.htm |
You don't have to take Cashill's word. Go find "Fugitive Days" by Ayers. It is written in the same voice as "Dreams." Any English major knows that voice is hard to copy. |
Uh, most people don't even know about piss christ. Giuliani is playing hack in order to get an administration job as a prize if the R's win. |
What makes you say that? Most educated people who were adults in the late 80's are fully aware of that piece of "art" and the NEA's role. Talk about offensive! |
I am a Dem, but I had liked Guiliani for a a long time. He was a good US attorney and a good mayor. I thought he handled 9-11 well and admired his toughness on addressing crime and other problems in NYC that in the 80s had seemed intractable. Rudy is like the anti-DiBlasio and I say that approvingly. That said, I no longer admire Guliani. He had become increasingly shrill and bigoted in his speech. Now I think this formerly rational guy has become unglued. |
It seems that Bobby J has forgotten his own advice. This week his office issued a press release captioned "Gov. Jindal refuses to condemn Mayor Guiliani." |

Scott Walker doesn't know one way or the other about whether Obama loves America. He can't afford to alienate the nutters.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/21/scott-walker-obama-love-america_n_6726960.html Reminds me of Romney, who said he could not afford to offend the birthers because he needed their votes. Anyway, the list of things that Scott Walker can't comment on is growing by the day. |
Did the Dems condemn Obama for saying that Bush was unpatriotic? |
I am white and I was not raised to buy American and be rah rah American. So I have no bloody clue WTF Guiliani is talking about. We weren't all raised with this idea that America can do no wrong. I'm proud but I'm no nationalist and I don't subscribe to the idea of exceptionalism. |
Most educated people would know that Giuliani was not mayor in the 80s. You are probably referring to another art exhibit from 1999. Since these facts are so cloudy to you, the average liberal can hardly be expected to recall them. |
Oh please! I am glad we have a president with a well rounded upbringing. You people are really grasping at straws here. |

Rudy made an idiotic statement.
It was funny to watch the reaction of the rest of the clown circus aka Walker and Jindal. As usual the Republican nomination process seems to be a race to the bottom of the barrel. |
