Woopeedeedoo, someone dared to express less than adoration about Barry! Release the hounds

By hounds you mean someone dared express less than adoration about Rudy! Release the irony! |

Giuliani walked back his comments.

lol.

The Republican establishment must have asked him to cool it because he was taking a lot of heat for his stupid remarks and making other Republicans look bad. The presidential candidates were all being asked if they agreed with RG and they ended up on the defense. Here is a link that offers the same information but can be accessed without a subscription to the WSJ: http://hinterlandgazette.com/2015/02/rudy-giuliani-backtracks-i-didnt-intend-to-question-obamas-motives.html |
Rudy has gone a little kooky but he was a respected leader under pressure during 9-11 and did much to improve NYC while he was mayor. By contrast,Barry was a crook and a joke throughout his time in public office. Barry would never be considered in Guliani's peer group. Barry's closest peer was probably Coleman Young in Detroit, another race baiting corrupt urban pol who ran his city into the ground while mayor. |

Hmmm.... Obama's not a crook, the economy is improving. So what's left besides the two of them being black? |
Let’s see. 1. We cannot trust what he says. 2. His foreign “policies” have turned out to be a disaster. 3. He has taken unconstitutional actions. 4. Instead of inspiring Americans, he divides Americans. 5. His health care plan has resulted in most PAYING Americans having to pay more. 6. Wages are stagnant and people are actually making less than 6 years ago. I could go on. And on. And on. Despite what you think, race has nothing to do with how many of us view this president. |
There is a difference in saying a policy is "unpatriotic" and making idiotic statements like X doesn't love America, or X wasn't brought up like you or I. One is policy-based, the other is pure ad hominem demagoguery and dog-whistle hate mongering. If you can't see the difference you have some work to do on your analytical skills.

It's the Spanx ...

| There are several references to "Barry" in this thread. Some seem to be to Obama (known as Barry in his youth) and others to Marion Barry, or am I confused? |
They are talking about Barack Obama. They like to play with his name because it reminds us that he is not really American in their minds. They will not allow him to be black or white or Christian either. Hell, half of them won't allow him to be born in Hawaii. If he looks too American, they'll call him Barack Hussein Obama. If he's looking too "foreign", they will call him Barry to remind us that he tried to assimilate. Even though he was born here (or Kenya, take your pick). |

Amazing how the Republicans are still going on about Obama given that he has less than two years in office and cannot stand for reelection.
You would think that this would cause them to focus on HRC given that she will more than likely be the nominee. I really think that it has a lot to do with the fact that Obama whooped them so badly in 2012, they just cannot get over the magnitude of their loss especially since the Romneys believed on election day that the presidency was going to go to him. Combine this with the victory that the Republicans had in 2014 which has turned to be a non-event since the Democrats are now playing the Republican game and filibustering anything the Repubs want to pass. |
