Good luck on a great year!

What school are you going to instead of CM?

Did you get a call from another public school or give it up to stay in/go to private? I ask as a Ward 5 resident...not inbounds for Langdon but it's on my list to check out. Many thanks.

Eaton is WOTP too.

Yes, I know that and never suggested it wasn't. I just was giving a description of where my DC will go for K without naming the school since people are often interested in that info, and I didn't want to name the school.

It has to be Mann.

Left for a public Montessori charter. We're oob for Langdon and the charter was closer and on the commute. I hope it was the right choice. I didn't get much info when I asked about Langdon in this site, but it's worth visiting. Some neighbors rave about it.

For those interested, the DCJCC contract is clear that you are obligated to pay the tuition for the entire year, even if your child ends up not attending.

There were several families this year that gave notice that they were leaving after finding out lottery results and because of family moves. The school indicated that they were on the hook for payment unless their child's spot was filled. That is why people were posting on neighborhood lists and on here.

I do believe that all the vacated spots were filled, and I'm not surprised. The school is terrific.

We were offered a PS3 spot at Bridges today but turned it down as we're already settled. I think we were number 140-something.

Does anyone have first hand experience where they have come after a family for the full amt?

Next week when the rest of the schools start should offer a litle movement - but I predict not a lot.

To help next year's parents can someone start a thead ....I got into (name of school) in (grade) and was # XX on the waitlist.

Mostly people care about PreS/PreK - a few K as well as 5th and 6th.
