Out of curiosity, why the move to Lee over CHML? We don't have good WL #s for either, but they are both on our list.

not pp, but I listed chml above lee on my original list and now wouldn't move. I just got excited about lee. CHML is a good school, but lee had the potential to be great. And it is exciting to be on the ground floor. not that I'm not nervous too . . .

I think it will be the next Lamb - the leaders just seem that good to me.

Hello, me again, the Lee person. We have had great teachers at CHM@L and my kids have made great friends but the commute is brutal for us. We are ward 5 residents are excited about Lees commitment to remaining there. It's great to have a quality montessori option close to home, finally! Again, good luck to all. We decided to accept the spots and enjoy a stress free summer ( we are giving up our current spots at CHML as well as a couple of spots on other WLs so hope that helps ). Hope you all can do the same.

Lee's team seems like a good and competent team with complementary skills and passions.

That is why the common lottery is important, in one line. For you, the language immersion was your top priority, so you likely put MV 1st on your list. And now someone who put Cap City first on their list, maybe for K-12 solidity, maybe for location, whatever, will get your spot. Both of you are much better off and it never would have happened under the previous system. I know this is no consolation to those who got in nowhere, but it is good progress, and there should be a little bit of commendation for those who put it together.

Just accepted and enrolled in MV for first grade after receiving acceptance off WL (in the top ten). Sadly giving up Lee. Think it will be a fantastic place. Goodbye DCUM. Thanks to all the posters (ignoring the snark) for the info that helped us through this process. Until we meet again...

Just accepted a PK 3 spot at Shepherd. We were low single digits.
