What drink do you order when you go out?

I love Pina Colada's. And Strawberry Daiquiris.
I don't care what you think of my drink selection. I don't find wine drinkers to be more sophisticated than margarita drinkers. Ones that think they are more sophisticated are called snobs.

I will not "drink like a man" when I'm at a business function. I do not drink at all during these functions because men read into women that drink and what their drink choices are. So I'd rather be known as the uptight bitch behind closed doors than the party girl or wine snob.

Yikes. I'm pretty sure you don't attend any "business functions."

Sorry lady, I do. Its what my office calls them. Mostly male office. Last count, 66 people - only 7 women. We are all college educated, most with masters degrees.

I probably make more than you, have more education than you, and have been to more states than you (as in the legal definition of states - what uneducated folks call countries or nations). Went to 12 different ones on 4 continents in one year for business related travel, all with after hours business functions. I do drink sake in Japan and beer in Germany and wine in France, since it is part of the local custom. But otherwise, I refrain from drinking at business functions.

So, snob, what do you say now? I still must be uncouth because I prefer a Daiquiri or Pina Colada?

If you ordered a Pina Colada anywhere, other than a Caribbean beach, I would think you're childish. It has nothing to do with drinking like a man. It has everything to do with acting like a grown-up and not acting like you're attending a college party.

You are a such a rude bitch! I love rum runners, rum punch, bahama mamas daquiris ALL OF IT! I will drink them at the pool and wherever the hell I want to not because I am reliving my college days but because they taste damn good! Get the giant silver spoon out of your ass.

I have one glass of red or white wine, if others are ordering alcohol. I have that one glass, and that's it for the evening.

I never drink more than that at a business outing, and if I can get away without drinking alcohol at all at a business get-together, then that's my preference.

OP - if you are still reading this, if I am out with a group who expect you to drink (its amazing that crazy peer preasure still exisits in the adult world, but it does) I would suggest white wine or if you can get away with ordering your drink at the bar get a soda water and lime - people will assume you are having a vodka or gin and tonic.

You hit like a girl, you scream like a girl, stop being such a girl, don't order a "girly" drink
Wow! I actually am proud to be a girl, and I don't mind drinking like a girl
What ever happened to girls rule!?

What is your profession? I bet it's not business, law or banking.

@15:34, I'm fairly certain it's a teenager playing around.

I'm so glad I don't work with any of you ladies. Wow, sooo mean!

I would not take anyone seriously who ordered a daiquiri or pina colada at a business dinner, man or woman.
Anonymous
I openly make fun of anyone who orders girly drinks. I don't judge them but I tease them.
