First, I don't see the Court paying any attention to it in the future. Second, since he knows abiut the furor and ignores it, I ask myself why. And myself tells me that he is not at all unhappy to have the fringe getting all this press and drawing the attention of the middle away from substantive issues that mainstream conservatives are concerned about.

BTW, are any of you who are concerned about this issue likely to vote for him if it is settled to your satisfaction, assuming there is actually a limit to how far you will move the goalpost?

Unless the economy is rolling. He will lose to anybody. People are tiring of more wars and hopelessness in the job market. Gas prices, food prices, debt. Obama is not an optimistic type, his speaches suck almost as much as Bush. He's already become boring. The country needs a cheerleader, the current crap is loser-ish and not worthy of the greatest country to ever exist.

The courts will not overturn Arizona Iowa Louisiana new hampshire laws to submit signed original birth certificates to be on the ballot. Obama will have to sue and why would he go to all that trouble when he can easily get it and submit it? Unless it doesn't exist or needs to be forged ? He may be happy about this and thinks it draws attention from all his inadequacies but he had to put together a coalition of voters to be elected and he received most of the Independent voters, of which I am one. There are many Independents, centrists Democrats and Republicans to whom this might well be a problem and he has to keep this coalition if he wants to win reelection. The best thing to do when you have a problem is to face it head on. There is no such thing as a little pregnancy.

I'm not a Birther because if there was even a scintilla of truth to this, Hillary Clinton would be President today. As I said, he won't get my vote because he is a disaster in every respect.

Maybe you did not get the point, which is that the independents aren't sitting on the fence because of a birther conspiracy.

That does not mean that he should not court independents. It means that challenging birther claims does no good for him politically. It would be like him passing a tax credit for the Klan.
