The Bachelorette -- TFP

All those guys who gave up jobs and whatever else for exposure on the show...gone! Contracts probably allow for this but still a big let down for them. Being cast on a show that filmed but never aired isn't going to do much on the resume or for social media followers.

They were banking on no one ever seeing it. Which, if she hadn't concluded filming on The Bachelorette and gone right home and attacked Dakota again, might have happened. But of course she did.

Here is the police report if you want to read what was already well known even without watching the video.

This. Spoilers were already out and everyone knew she was back with Dakota. And that = no big audience for ABC. No one is going to keep watching every week of the show all excited to find out who she ends up with ... when they know what the answer is.

6M followers on TikTok. That's how. ABC thought it would save their dying franchise. Bad gamble.

But also I think it's important to point out that Dakota and Taylor have a mutually abusive dynamic, and him releasing this video when he did was part of it. I'm not defending Taylor or what she does in the video -- she's abusive, her kids are in danger, and she needs help. But I also happen to believe her that Dakota was also physically abusing her in the incident depicted on the video. And also the fact that he continued to date her and be closely involved with her for years after what happened on the video, and even after she started filming this season of the Bachelorette, should tell you a lot about their dynamic.

I presume he was angry about the show premiering that would show her dating/hooking up with other men, and related this video to ruin it for her. I don't feel bad for her because she did that and it shouldn't be celebrated, but you can't ignore that he is also terrible.

I mostly just feel bad for their son and for her kids from her previous marriage. Awful.

As long as you hold the same anger and blame for women who stay with their abuser and who yell and push back. The majority of abuse is mutual (about 2/3).

She just assaulted him again recently. Everything in the video is written out in his statement that has been available on line for 3 years. He doesn't need to stay silent because he is a man. And she ruined it with her behavior - he didn't ruin it for her.

Damaged people attract damaged people. A lot of abuse victims are pretty damaged people who aren't particularly nice themselves or great at relationships. Watch police videos online of calls to homes for domestic violence.

These types of relationships are common with domestic violence but are not always the case. I have a cousin who was in a relationship like this, her and her husband were beating each other up for years. We only get a glimpse of Taylor and Dakota’s life so who knows. All we know as that her child got hit with a chair while she was putting hands on Dakota.

Her child got hit with a chair while she was %$#ing throwing chairs in a blind rage ... in the direction of the child ... after we hear Dakota remind her that the child is right there.

I hope they take her children from her.

Isn't Dakota a drunk too? Should he really be getting sole custody?

Also give me a break. Throwing chairs is a psychopath move but she's like half his size. If she was just kicking him and shoving him he wouldn't have been in any danger. I only care about the kid getting hurt, and being scared.

According to Dakota he went to treatment and has been sober since 2022.

I don't think he drinks at all. I think he's in recovery.

Classic abuser manipulation -- the "you made me hit you, you made me do this" bs. And you are falling for it. You don't make someone throw a chair.

The fact that she is half his size is irrelevant. Of course he was in danger. These things escalate -- today, it's "kicking and shoving," tomorrow she shows up with a gun.

+1 this is always how it goes. Nobody made her throw a chair in the direction in child’s direction.
