What about this Friday?

If they're not back Monday everyone in office should be voted out. That is a total collapse of the bare minimum government services

Good thing nobody pays you to think

Likewise.

Other MD counties just closed through Friday, but sure — MCPS is the problem 🙄

Between my husband and I, we cleared out the front and back of our house, as well as a few parking spots. We had a shovel.

Good for YOU. And now back to MCPS.

This was in response to a post asking, “have you tried moving what’s outside yourself?”

Yep. Tues could even be closed. If they don't work weekends clearing it off. Plus Sat could bring another storm or miss the area and be a blizzard along coastal region. Temps rise mid to end of next week only to upper 30s.

This is also a once in a decade storm. Once in a lifetime pandemic. What's next oh?

Bethesda is a small part of the county. The rest of it looks bad.

Between Poolesville and Gaithersburg the roads are clear. They're fine between Gaithersburg and Frederick, too.

Down county isn’t.

I'm a teacher for MCPS and going to lose my mind if I'm not back into my routine soon. Three kids at home with friends coming and going means I'm going through food like crazy. Plus the thought of extending the school year is dreadful. Everyone is so checked out once June hits and the sun doesn't go down until after 8pm. I hope we go back Friday but from what I'm hearing, that's not likely.

No one will be there to teach them.

The county needs to start calling subs to see who wants to risk their hips to come in on Friday.

And Monday will be over a week since the storm ended. That is a colossal failure if they can't get schools back open in a week.

That was back to back storms. This is one storm that they will have had over a week to clear. Christ people, if you can't handle the snow, move south!

Some of them are huge. It just sucks for the poor kids who walk to school, but we can’t wait for them to melt on their own.

There is no win-win.

I was thinking that the DMV looks like Buffalo NY with these giant snowbanks.

How do you manage a classroom with more than three kids plus friends? Who are you amd at what school do you work? That's scary.
