Catholic does not let women lead.
Catholic does not let women own their own bodies
Catholic believes children are born with sin. Abusrdity.

I am a Catholic woman who leads ministries within the church.

I do own my own body. Nobody else has authority over it.

Children are born with original sin, but that is different than personal guilt.

When the Church stops paying for supporting Pedos, get back to us on how they support women.

Opus Dei is not pro women

Opus Dei makes up about .008% of Catholics. I don’t think I’m going to worry about them representing me.

And regarding your other comment, I’m not sure how it’s relevant to this thread.

from St Paul.

“I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This assumes Catholics care about the Bible. So much of Catholicism has nothing to do with the Bible.

More leadership positions is not the same thing as a high view of women.

The church historically has held women in very high regard, but this is not the same as insisting that they fill leadership roles. The fact that those roles are limited to men by scripture and tradition is also not a slight against women.

Oh yeah, the church holds women in high regard as long as they know their place and look cute in a veil.

Nothing is a slight against women in the Church. The Church Loves women. No need for them to fill leadership roles when they are so loved by the men whom the Scriptures favor.

Where can I find a Calvinist/Puritan church?

Presbyterians tend to be Calvinist

Why be a leader when you can be loved instead? No need to feel slighted just because the scriptures favor men. Only men can be priests in the Church. Women can always be nuns and serve the men. Live with it. Savor the love you get from the men.

True, but many Presbyterian churches these days are quite liberal. Pp should avoid those if they're looking for something Calvinist/Puritan.

Eh. The church holds men in high regard as long as they know their place and provide for their families.

Even these days, when a lot of women are providing for their families too.

That is problematic as most of the Puritan congregations are now Congregationalist. However, there are conservative wings within Presbyterianism. If the pp wants a socially conservative congregation, they should seek out the Presbyterian Church in America and avoid The Presbyterian Church (USA).

Here's my take...
Off the top of my head:

Treats women more unequally:
- Southern Baptist
- Reformed Evangelical
- Calvinist/Puritan
- Jehovah Witness
- Pentecostal
- Roman Catholic
- Church of Latter-Day Saints (non-Fundy)
- Charismatic Evangelical

Treats women more fairly:

- Unitarian
- Episcopalian
- Presbyterian
- Lutheran

Yep, this is what I was thinking. When the catholic church allows women priests or gets a female pope, then we can reconsider

Got to give Catholic Women credit -- they really love their church and are continuously looking for ways that it's good for women

We don’t have to look for ways it’s good for women. They are simply there, so no searching necessary.

It appears the fact priests must be male offends some non-Catholics. Okay. That’s fine. I’m not offended by it at all, especially because there are so many other ways for me to assume meaningful leadership within the church.

There are still parts of the military unavailable to women. I also can’t be an NFL player, eligible to make millions. I haven’t lost any sleep about how the military and sporting franchises have belittled me.

If you are looking for something to enrage you, you’ll always find it.

The NFL doesn’t recruit women because of their physical attributes. Same for some military specialities where women do not have the strength to qualify.

What characteristic of a woman makes her unfit for a high leadership position in the Catholic Church?

All this means is that you’re easy in the harness.

The reason women can't be NFL players is the same reason why most men can't play for the NFL -- they're not strong enough.

And yes, the Catholics "allow" women to take on meaningful leadership rules in the church. But you still can't be a priest. That's reserved for men. It seems like most of them are gay.

A few years ago, girls were not allowed to be "Altar boys" -- that's what they used to call them. Now that there are girls, too, they call them "servers."
