In regards to the various denominations of American Christianity, which ones do you believe treat women the best ?? As in more leadership opportunities & equal treatment between the sexes ?? Which ones do you think view women in a more unequal or lesser light in regards to men? Here's my take... Off the top of my head: Treats women more unequally: - Southern Baptist - Reformed Evangelical - Calvinist/Puritan - Jehovah Witness - Pentecostal - Roman Catholic - Church of Latter-Day Saints (non-Fundy) - Charismatic Evangelical Treats women more fairly: - Unitarian - Episcopalian - Presbyterian - Lutheran Thank you for your thoughts and views!!
fixed your list
Yep, this is what I was thinking. When the catholic church allows women priests or gets a female pope, then we can reconsider
Got to give Catholic Women credit -- they really love their church and are continuously looking for ways that it's good for women
We don’t have to look for ways it’s good for women. They are simply there, so no searching necessary. It appears the fact priests must be male offends some non-Catholics. Okay. That’s fine. I’m not offended by it at all, especially because there are so many other ways for me to assume meaningful leadership within the church. There are still parts of the military unavailable to women. I also can’t be an NFL player, eligible to make millions. I haven’t lost any sleep about how the military and sporting franchises have belittled me. If you are looking for something to enrage you, you’ll always find it.
All this means is that you’re easy in the harness.
