This was exactly my experience growing up in the Evangelic Movement with Purity Gospel. |
Do you not understand the difference between adult women and juvenile children? |
|
I think a lot of anthropologists would point out that religions give powers and arcane rituals to men to keep them involved. Women are socialized to be communitarian, but men are not.
|
And notice how churches attempt to indoctrinate people at a young age before they are capable of critical thinking. |
Oh please Christians treat women like less then Women who fall for this crap have low self esteem or are born into a religious s3ct |
That's just god's will. |
Schools do the same thing. Christian religious institutions are not alone in attempting to instill their values onto children. https://www.dragstoryhour.org/ |
The difference being that schools try to encourage critical thinking, while religions attempt to train you to ignore it. |
Letting your true nature start to come out. Nice. |
I wasn't a juvenile, I was a teenager and until the age of 18, an "adult woman", this was my reality. Not all denominations are created equal. And if you were in one that followed things like James Dobson and "Old Time Religion" than it was most definitely pounded into you that men were the heads of households and pre-marital sex was the unpardonable sin. |
Only unpardonable for the woman. |
Hilary Clinton, a Methodist Christian, might disagree with you, as would the wife of Martin Luther King. |
Definitely not just women in many evangelical sects. My son was told he would be shunned if he was suspected of “fornication” by his best friend that was an evangelical. (This started when my son went on his first date) They no longer speak of course so it’s a moot point. |
Perhaps, but that's obviously the exception among the flavors of Christianity. |
There are approximately 660 million evangelicals in the world. Even if it's a subset, it's a disgusting worldview and there are plenty of people that subscribe to it. |
