Sure, as long as they know their place.

Let’s discuss how Islam and Orthodox Jewish religions treat their women.

Most religions are bad for women, mostly because the religions were formed centuries ago when women had few rights.
This is false. Religion provides for women emotional support, a stable and comforting centerpiece of life, and a hub to raise children, often consulting with a priest, nun, or other women who assist and provide a sounding board for issues that come up.

Wise women understand that they don’t “know it all” and so rely on religion to help. This wise course of action has held up for thousands of years. Religion works.

You are under the mistaken impression that women are dragged against their will to a religious place of worship, mind-raped by dogma, then cower in fear all the day long from trauma.

It is usually the woman who maintains household stability by incorporating religious teachings and traditions into the family. Religion provides a venue for weddings, and teaches sons and daughters not to be like the immoral, disease-ridden secular whores and whoremongers who spurn religious teachings on modesty and appropriate sexual behavior.

Religious people have higher birthrates because they shun homosexuality and immoral sexual behavior which can cause sterility due to disease.

It is the immoral and ungodly woman, demanding her way, refusing to submit to rules designed for her protection, who hates religion.

It is the Jewish religion that has kept Jews from having their identity annihilated. It has been a foundation that no nation, despite pogroms and murder sprees of terror, has been able to eliminate.

This was exactly my experience growing up in the Evangelic Movement with Purity Gospel.

Do you not understand the difference between adult women and juvenile children?

I think a lot of anthropologists would point out that religions give powers and arcane rituals to men to keep them involved. Women are socialized to be communitarian, but men are not.

And notice how churches attempt to indoctrinate people at a young age before they are capable of critical thinking.

Schools do the same thing. Christian religious institutions are not alone in attempting to instill their values onto children.

The difference being that schools try to encourage critical thinking, while religions attempt to train you to ignore it.

I wasn't a juvenile, I was a teenager and until the age of 18, an "adult woman", this was my reality. Not all denominations are created equal. And if you were in one that followed things like James Dobson and "Old Time Religion" than it was most definitely pounded into you that men were the heads of households and pre-marital sex was the unpardonable sin.

Hilary Clinton, a Methodist Christian, might disagree with you, as would the wife of Martin Luther King.

Definitely not just women in many evangelical sects. My son was told he would be shunned if he was suspected of “fornication” by his best friend that was an evangelical. (This started when my son went on his first date)

They no longer speak of course so it’s a moot point.

There are approximately 660 million evangelicals in the world. Even if it's a subset, it's a disgusting worldview and there are plenty of people that subscribe to it.
