Rule of Law in US -- blurred lines between "illegal" versus "immoral" or "unethical"

ICE agents (or other law enforcement officers) have no duty to identify themselves to bystanders or activists. There is no law that requires it. There are no policies that require it.

Think of the ICE arrests tactics you’re watching like a prostitution sting. The female officer dressed like a hooker in the seedy hotel room with the creepy guy isn’t wearing her uniform or displaying her badge. Only when it’s time to arrest the “John” do the badges come out.

If everything is on the up & up, then why are they trying to snatch Americans with brown skin off the street?

There’s at least half a dozen videos in the last week of Americans getting roughed up by ICE or deputized bounty hunters for no reason other than wrong skin @ the wrong place @ the wrong time. Clearly there is no careful investigation being conducted in those cases.

That’s a technique to gain compliance. The suspect wouldn’t put his hands behind his back. He was resisting. That is what happens. It’s not hard to tell that posters here live sheltered lives in UMC neighborhoods.

Read the comments below the video. They’re a bunch of know nothing conspiracy theorists that believe there are bounty hunters making arrests.

Officers are supposed to use control holds and leverage-based techniques or joint manipulation to get compliance. https://www.policemag.com/training/article/15346453/control-tactics-and-counter-tactics https://www.police1.com/police-training/articles/defensive-tactics-training-capturing-the-arm-with-a-lever-arm-9rgyx1iUGmuwSQlf etc.

Techniques are supposed to be reasonable and proportionate. Punching someone repeatedly while they are lying face down is typically not sanctioned and would only be excusable in a case where a police officer were being assaulted and defending themselves. Clearly this officer was not being assaulted or defending himself. What we're seeing there is poor policing or someone who was improperly trained.

^^^ ChiCom who love Big Daddy Government

Under what pretense would “ICE” have to interrupt a gardener at work?

What you’re seeing is an unbadged bounty hunter/contractor violating the 5th Amendment rights of a random gardener. One of the officers is federally badged and seems to be directing the scene, but he doesn’t have control of the goon squad. The rest of them are wearing generic “POLICE” insignia and are unbadged. They are likely deputized contractors.

You counter the claim….with a random Substack. Appeal to authority logical fallacy.

What’s the practical difference between a deputized bounty hunter and a contractor? Zilch.

The 287(g) program lets them deputize state and local law enforcement, which I presume would also extend to things like local-yokel deputy Sheriffs and others who often do not have adequate training and sometimes their own sketchy backgrounds.

Local police aren’t the same as bounty hunters. Come on.

Do you have any evidence of the bounty hunter claim? Other than a single viral TikTok video?

Um dozens of videos of guys in sneakers, shoddily patched together equipment, internet-bought “ICE” or “POLICE” plate patches or no patch at all, and out of state civilian license plates on unmarked civilian SUVs chasing brown people in residential neighborhoods and parking lots?

So many of these clowns are not wearing ICE-issued gear. They look like weekend Temu LEO clowns on steroids.

Use your brain, jaggoff.

Those are the vehicles federal LEOs drive. My DH is a LEO with a DOJ law enforcement agency. His unmarked SUV with out of state civilian plates is parked in our driveway right now. He wears really ugly sneakers to work. You have no idea what you’re talking about.

Well hopefully he’s not on these ICE man hunts, chasing anyone who looks brown through the streets s. It’s too bad - a lot of these LEOs will be so f#cked up mentally from these moperations. Lots of PTSD, suicides, depression, family abuse.

Don’t ask for a handout.
