Because she creates or encourages artificial and harmful divides within our society. All this "real America" stuff is not good for us. That's just silly and wrong. One of the first things our previous president did was make it clear it was about the US vs. terrorists, not the US vs. Muslims. He did a lot of things I don't like (starting an unnecessary war in Iraq, not committing the need amount to the war in Afghanistan, giving tax breaks to people who didn't need them, etc.), but actively supporting a divide of our society based on hatred is not one of them.

He shouldn't have chosen the term "Islamist Fascist". We didn't call the Germany "Christian Fascists". These are politically motivated Arabs. Islam is the rhetoric they use to recruit their followers. But they are not the first to rally troops by saying "God is on our side".

You've done a complete disservice to your sad gene. Joe Biden is a lot of things but dumb he ain't. As for her being a woman with kids, let's try these on for size: Katie Couric, Hilary Clinton, Brenda Barnes, JK Rowling, Shonda Rhimes, etc... If you honestly believe that class prejudice is the reason people hate Sarah Palin then you are in fact sadder than you realize.

It's not that SP has low class or different views that I find disturbing. First, she does not speak proper English given that she is a native English speaker (we think). If you don't speak any language grammatically correct, you come across as dumb.

Secondly, she brings out the fears in people which is stirring up the hornets' nest - fears of different ethnicities, religions. She's stirring things up that should remain dormant and long dead. Do you recall her rally during the '08 campaign in which her words encouraged a rally attender to shout, "Kill him!" referring to Obama? NOBODY, high or low should provoke that type of reaction ANYWHERE!

Third, she lacks self-reflection and comes across as a shallow bimbo with a pretty face. You want this type of person to effect public policy and laws? HELL.NO!

You're reaching pretty far on this thread to make this about what liberals think of conservatives.

This is about disliking someone who is a joke to politics. And as far as politics goes in the US, that says A LOT. And fwiw I absolutely would have voted for McCain last election had he not shown such poor judgement in choosing her as a VP.
