I find Sarah Palin rather amusing. She generates much attention, but most of this is the media's knack for finding entertainment. I seriously doubt she could muster enough credibility to be a threat (to whom? the Conservatives?).

This thread makes me really sad. Most of my friends are liberal, and I've always assumed they were decent kind people, but apparently they assume I am stupid, racist etc etc. because I have different beliefs than they do. And none of you can see how blindingly hypocritical such judgments are. I admire Sarah Palin because she is a woman with kids who has become wildly successful in a field dominated by men. I think class prejudices are a big reason people hate her so much, because she is kind of white trashy. I may not agree with her positions but she is no dumber than Biden, she just gets vilified because she is a woman. It is the same thing conservatives did to Hillary. Nope. It's definitely not a class issue with me. I have plenty of family and friends who are from far humbler backgrounds (or, to you use your term, "kind of white trashy") and they are still smart. Sarah Palin is not, not at all. Biden puts his foot in his mouth but he is not stupid. Sarah Palin is stupid.

This is about disliking someone who is a joke to politics. And as far as politics goes in the US, that says A LOT. And fwiw I absolutely would have voted for McCain last election had he not shown such poor judgement in choosing her as a VP.
