Self Check Out Thievery

I've never stolen at the self-checkout.

One time, I wasn't thinking and changed my mind about wanting a bag. I wasn't thinking how they charge for bags. Usually, I have my own bags so this never comes up. The cashier yelled at me, so that was fun. I offered to pay but she didn't want to bother with it, so why yell?

I can't believe Trump hasn't said bags should be free. He seems to want more plastic in the world, and he had an opinion on paper straws.

FOFA.

See, I'm of the opinion that taking bags without pay isn't stealing. They are used to facilitate the transaction. I need them to carry the product. Never mind the fact that the mark up on them is 10000%

It is irrelevant what you think. The law says you have to pay for it.

You don't get to pick and choose which laws you follow.

The law also says you must obey the speed limit, which you don't. So much for picking and choosing, hypocrite.

Who says I don't obey the speed limit? You? Have you ever seen me drive?

However, the stores knew this would happen when they went to mostly self check out. If enough revenue is lost, I assume they'll hire some cashiers back.

Its about integrity not class.

Not when the store has no integrity it isn't.

People with integrity don't base their behavior on other parties. They base it on their own moral compass.

Which means if the store is dumb that doesn't mean I get to cheat them any more than if the store is amazing and perfect and wonderful. I do get to decide whether I shop there at all, though.

So you justify stealing by saying other people break other laws. Nice big juicy rationalization there.

They also know who is stealing and will let you get away with it until it reaches an amount that is a felony. Like they'll keep the video evidence. Then they will prosecute.

Sure, the same Giant that lets homeless people walk off with $500 grocery carts all the time keeps tabs on a single individual miscoding vegetables over months and months and is just waiting to pounce.

1) stop making shit up.
2) you are welcome to attempt to walk out with $500 worth of groceries to see if you can get away with it too, keyboard warrior.

LOL. You mad because I proved what a fool you are.

How did you do that? By making baseless claims online and making shit up? HAHAHAHA

Well yes, but also class. I consider those two to go hand in hand.

Not when the store has no integrity it isn't.

So your integrity is dependent on others having integrity?

Go ahead and claim to have never broken the speed limit. We will all believe you. Check mate, bro.

Stores are not people and by definition can't have integrity.

You taking stuff without paying for it is theft no matter how you try to spin it and justify it.

No, I don't routinely drive above the speed limit. But what does that have to do with stealing from the store? You are wilfully and ignorantly stealing and are boasting about it, bro.

As a manager, if I ever hear of anyone bragging about this (it would have to be first hand), they somehow are never going to quite make the cut for a promotion, and they can say bye, bye to their security clearance, which will undermine all future job prospects.
