You think $80K and $66K are the same? |
Well this website blows up the MAGA narrative that feds all earning hundreds of thousands per year. Turns out they are making wages that are comparable to everyone else. |
$50-$80 and $66 are the same, jackass. |
Many make more than $80K, you know that. I’m sure the argument is that DC cost of living is high, but well, not for long! |
Hopefully Autistic Elmo posts his salary and BS contracts too. Hypocrite scum. |
Someone is mad that this chart isn't nearly as outrageous as Dear Leader is leading people to believe. |
Yeah, bro’s late to the party. |
Where are you getting your info that Feds “mostly” work from home? I’m from Flyover, and my immediate relatives who still live there almost all make over 80k and they are not Feds. I’m sure 80k sounds like a lot to a typical Walmart employee. For someone with advanced degrees and/or abundant work experience who climbs the ladder, and who must live and commute in a higher cost of living area, 80k is not that much. And in higher COLAs, 80k is like a minimum salary to be able to attract and hire someone with medium level numeracy and literacy. If you are poor enough that you think 80k is a lot, it is unlikely that you are paying a lot in federal income taxes. Those are overwhelmingly being paid by higher earners. |
I could look up my name, degree, salary, pay grade, and various stats about my work output for close to 15 years. People would use these stats for matters that come in front of me. Not sure why this is a big deal. |
I think the majority of Trump voters from Flyover Country do not make $80K and we be very happy to see those positions go. Again, so many on here are clueless about life in the rest of the country. A Trump voter living in a trailer in Arizona definitely does not make $80K. Do you not get that? |
Many private sector people make more than $80k too. What's your point? |
80k/year is not a high salary for a lawyer, doctor, or someone with a PhD. The government employs a lot of people with experience and education. |
Just wow that you don't think occupation, education, regional cost of living, and affordability of child care have anything to do with these stats. I was a fed in the 90s. I reached GS-13 by late 20s. I left government service in part because I couldn't afford a house in the town where I lived along the metro line. People who resent feds don't want anyone to have a better life than their own. They don't think feds are deserving, mostly because of anti-government beliefs. We know! Everything plays badly in flyover country because the media thrives on outrage. That's not new either. Also consider that premium undergrads just out of school are in that same $80K-$100K wage range. With very little work experience. |
lol |
So if you’re an employee in an “essential internal office” as designated by this chart, are you “safe”? |
