Reminder that Murdoch Group criminal syndicate are the same people behind Donald Trump's presidencies and his treasonous attempted coup on Jan 6 2021.

Hugh Grant said there should be a criminal investigation into them and I agree. I am Harry won.

I do think he and Meghan need a good strategist/public relations person to advise them. They jump into political stuff where they should stay quiet and make proclamations like they are of high political status of some sort of American royalty. Stick to real charity work without telling others what to do or think often related to topics they don't even completely understand. Be careful with the photo ops. They need someone to help them come across as more humble and committed to service, not fame.

+1 all of the above!

Yes. There's no reason any of their service work even needs to be publicized.

Or that we need their “spokesperson” to issue statements about their opinions on any major events. Do other celebrities do this? It’s so bizarre and sanctimonious for, what are in essence, two reality stars.

Relax. That stuff isn’t for us, that’s for people back in the UK.

No, they do it in the US for what they believe to be their US fans. But even if it were for the people in the UK that’s even more ridiculous. They are no longer working Royals and they don’t live there, yet carry on as if they do.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and are referred to as such on the British royal family's official website. Harry was granted the title Duke of Sussex by his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, upon his marriage to Meghan, who then became the Duchess of Sussex. Their children are Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex since their grandfather King Charles III became monarch.

The British press violated Prince Harry’s privacy and dignity over and over again and vilified Meghan for absurd reasons.

King Charles III should be ashamed of himself for icing Harry out of the working royal family and not providing protection for his own son’s family. Any nitwit can see H+M are lightning rods for negative press and do face real danger from mentally disturbed royal fans.

The king has the money but chooses not to prioritize the safety of his son and his family. In 2024, King Charles III’s net worth increased by $12.5 million (£10 million) over the previous year, bringing his total net worth to approximately $772 million (£610 million) according to the 2024 Sunday Times Rich List, which ranks the 1,000 wealthiest people or families in the U.K. Charles ranked # 258 in 2024.

The royal family is extremely important to Britain’s economy and culture. The royal family's history and heritage make the UK a popular tourist destination. The royal family is a global brand that contributes to the UK economy through tourism, trade, media, and the arts. In 2017, Brand Finance estimated that the royal family contributed £1.766 billion to the UK economy.
Brand Finance also estimated that the monarchy's brand contributed £2.5 billion to the UK economy.

I believe the King is diminishing his royal brand by being petty with the safety of his own son’s family.

How are they unsafe exactly? Who is threatening them? Harry seems to be able to travel back and forth without any issues.

I am skeptical about the contribution that the royal family has made to British tourism.
Any idiot will tell you that France and Paris still has tourism despite not having royals.
The British press is still very focused on this couple more than anyone else.
It’s a very public form of bullying that continues even when they do nothing.
Prince Harry is accomplished. He had a great military career and started the inspiring invictus games.

It is hard to quantify the amount that the royal family has contributed to UK tourism and it has declined somewhat in recent years but estimates remain hefty in the hundreds of millions each year.

Recent attempts to measure the size of the impact of the royal family on UK tourism have estimated the capital value of UK monarchy as a business to be £67.5 billion (up from £44 billion in 2012) and the annual contribution to the UK economy to be £1.766 billion.

They are not requesting it around the clock - just when they visit. King Charles III can easily afford it. They would visit him more if they felt safe and would reflect better on him as a father since he is keen to be perceived as compassionate.

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may not face constant physical danger in the UK, there is evidence suggesting they could be at risk of harassment, hostility or worse without official security protection. This is due to the negative media attention and public opinion towards them following their departure from the royal family, particularly regarding Meghan's race and their critical comments about the monarchy. Evidence includes online threats and aggressive behavior from individuals who hold strong negative views.

High-profile negative media coverage:
Tabloids and certain media outlets have often portrayed Harry and Meghan in a negative light, which can contribute to a hostile public perception.

Meghan, as a biracial woman, has faced significant online and offline racist abuse, particularly during her time as a working royal.

Surveys have shown a significant portion of the British public holds unfavorable views towards Harry and Meghan, especially compared to other royals.

There have been documented cases of aggressive behavior and threats directed at Meghan, both during her time as a royal and after stepping down.

I believe the decision to remove police protection is under review now.

It’s under review by the police and it is warranted.

The royals are worth billions to Britain’s heritage and tourism. Charles III is diminishing in he royal brand by appearing petty with the safety of his own son and his family. It is not a good look for the brand and it is harming the ability of H +M’s children to have a relationship with their grandfather.

I believe that Camilla has been responsible for much of the negative press to take the heat off her and it worked.

It was a foolish decision by the king as commonwealth countries who are predominantly POC are particularly appalled by the treatment of Meghan

Have fun believing in that study

This article did not persuade me otherwise

For example
2011 research by Visit Britain found that around 60% of tourists to the UK are likely to visit places associated with the royal family. While there is no more recent specifically royal data, in 2022 Visit Britain found that history and heritage was the biggest pull factor to tourists.

The royal family are synonymous with British heritage and history -

They have discussed this at length. Racism sucks.

So, nobody. Just some random bogeyman. Like that "scary" slow chase in NYC.

Prince Harry and Meghan faced 'very real' threats while living in the U.K., former top police official says

That's nice they want that, but they have been denied it. Harry travels back and forth. The reason Meghan and the kids won't is because it will prove that this is unnecessary. It's a game of chicken.

It is requested, but warranted is an opinion. You know it's not going to happen unless they agree to move back.

Are you dumb, dishonest, or racist? They have gotten lots of scary messages, calls, and lurkers.

So? They aren't going to get the level of security they want. They are welcome to pay for what they think they need. Didn't Harry just win an 8 figure settlement? They aren't broke.
