Prince Harry Wins Case Against Murdoch Group

I think his case was especially strong because he was a minor for some of the years of surveillance. It put him in a better situation legally than other celebrities who were surveilled only as adults and only after they had chosen to enter the public eye.

Good for him for taking it all the way until they fessed/paid up. It's gross what they did.

I'm glad he won. I think the press has done him dirty (especially the Royal Rota).

I do think he and Meghan need a good strategist/public relations person to advise them. They jump into political stuff where they should stay quiet and make proclamations like they are of high political status of some sort of American royalty. Stick to real charity work without telling others what to do or think often related to topics they don't even completely understand. Be careful with the photo ops. They need someone to help them come across as more humble and committed to service, not fame.

Yes. There's no reason any of their service work even needs to be publicized.

Or that we need their “spokesperson” to issue statements about their opinions on any major events. Do other celebrities do this? It’s so bizarre and sanctimonious for, what are in essence, two reality stars.

Good for them. Their lavish lifestyle requires money. They've tried every possible celebrity way to stay in headlines and to make money from volunteerism, books, podcast, Netflix, appearances etc. but this is easy money so why not. Those tabloids did violate his privacy. Obviously, they also earn money because of these tabloids giving them free publicity but at that time, he was a minor.

They aren't genius business minds but they are good hustlers making the most of their status, fame and connections. Yes, many endeavors failed and many moves reflected bad on them but nothing a good publicist and a good business consultant can't pivot anytime to help them get bigger and better gigs including politics. People will fall again for them or for their children. They'll never have scarcity of projects and offers.

THIS. Just quietly do community service. Nobody needs your proclamations or opinions on topics you don't totally understand. Also, perhaps try living more modestly. By that I mean-live like upper middle class to regular wealthy-no need to live like say Oprah who earned it all herself. Then they could afford security, etc with just the money he inherited and got from family and from the settlement, especially if they invest well. If they toned down the lavish lifestyle, they would not need to keep up the hustle to earn and they could lead a quiet life of community service, travel (without a press release and photo op) and nuclear family time which is what I thought they claimed to want.

I doubt living comfortably and privately in peace is their goal. She didn't marry a prince to live like a commoner and he is obviously not used to living a simple life.

Is Harry on speaking terms with the Spencers?

Anonymous wrote:This is what will be overlooked by those who knee-jerk criticize Harry and his wife:

“This represents a vindication for the hundreds of other claimants who were strong-armed into settling without being able to get to the truth of what was done to them,” Sherborne said outside court.

Harry said he would go the distance on this because he can; he has the money and lawyers. I heard an interview with him where he said he was taking this all the way mostly because other people with less money and in a different position had to settle and couldn’t go all in. Good for him, and good for all the people he helped.

Good for him! I bet his mom is smiling from above.

She was a TV actress and then member of the BRF. He was a member of the BRF.

The BRF would be shocked you consider Royals as reality stars.

Idk.

Here’s what Charles Spencer said though:

“It takes an enormous amount of guts to take on major media organisations like this, and incredible tenacity to win against them.

It’s wonderful that Harry also secured an apology for his mother - she would be immensely touched by this, I’m sure, and also rightly proud.

Well done indeed.”

We are in American. That means nothing here (except in their minds apparently).
