| Oh geez, I did not know. Glad I saw this. |
Navy shower! Try it every time you shower. Take a bath occasionally for relaxation etc. |
1. Why didn't they blast communications to all those customers?? Why do all these agencies seem to need a 101 on mass communications? Who is going to visit their website to see if there's ever an alert
2. Aren't our bills mostly going to admin and "infrastructure" fees? Look at your last bill, a chunk at least if not more. 3. Talk to a dermatologist about proper skin care which could help you figure out how and when to clean yourself. |
| Took the usual length shower. Be mindful and conserve, but don't freak out just yet. |
| I just got an alert from Alert Montgomery saying this only applies to WSSC customers. FYI for those wondering about city of Rockville water customers. |
Alert Montgomery?? So slow. Where have they been? Good for Rvilke but R'viklle does get almost 40% water from WSSC so keep an eye out for any changes there, too. |

I read about this last night on Nextdoor, but just recently got the Alert Montgomery text. Crazy to have that long a delay.

Did you bother to look at the advisory? It specifically says take SHORT showers. But by all means wait until you have to boil water and broken pipes risk fire response. I mean what ar the odds it’s YOUR house. It’s not like you’re part of a community, right? All that matters is your individual comfort Following guidelines to avert damage and crises is not freaking out. It’s the sensible, responsible thing to do. |
How do you even write those sentences? What part of “took the usual length shower” is conserving? |
Are you signed up for alerts because both of us in our household have gotten texts from WSSC. |
|
I'd really rather avoid a Boil Water advisory, (no one has time for that, especially if schools have to close)
Please, let's try to conserve today. |
According to the Rockville website, it is 0.4% not 40% Where does my water come from? Our primary source of water is the Potomac River. When Rockville’s water plant is not operating because of necessary improvements or maintenance activities, or in cases of regional drought, Rockville purchases water from the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC). In 2023, Rockville purchased about 6.54 million gallons of water (approximately 0.39% of our annual production) from WSSC, which also receives its water from the Potomac River. |
Did you bother asking what that "usual length" is? Moron. There are people out there who understand the meaning of resources, have lived through similar situations and can take "short" showers, whatever "short" is. This forum's UMs should try getting out of their screens and websites once in a while. |
| Y’all are smoking something special if you think most of your neighbors are changing their behaviors whatsoever. |
Not everyone signs up for alerts from A-Z companies, to be flooded by alerts. It is the responsibility of those companies probiding essential services to contact ALL customers, not those who have chosen to sign up for an alert. It is basic communications 101. |
