I live off a major bus route in Bethesda (10+ buses pass through every morning to the middle school) and the road has not been plowed. |
Agree! Good job Rockville! The city of Rockville streets I’ve been on have been mostly black pavement. The plows do need to come back and redo some of the corners though at the intersections. Nelson to College gardens for example. Not enough room to turn right into the lane. |
Smaller local govt. for the win! (I am from suburban PA and miss local govts. and local services for this and many other reasons) Meanwhile the rest of us county dwellers wait.... |
In Potomac. I also hear that there are schools not plowed and most are just starting to get walkways clear. We got 9 inches and no plow yet on our side street. I expect another closure. |

"While MCPS intends to inform families about potential closures as soon as possible, Lopez said low temperatures and the large amount of precipitation from the storm, including ice, have made clean-up efforts difficult." |
We saw the plow come by once last night and salt but it refroze and dumped another 2 inches since then. I hope we see the plow again today bc our street looks rough |
It’s not going to happen. Closes Wed and delay Thurs |
Our area had snow until 10pm last night and haven’t seen a plow yet |
Live on a bus route and the road still isn't plowed. Predicting Code Orange for Weds. |
What area? Germantown in is good shape everywhere I've seen. (west side) |
Yeah...Wednesday will be closed. Thursday delay (which probably won't be necessary, but fine). I need to go into work and do some stupid little tasks. No one will be there. HS aged DS can come with me. We'll get donuts on the way in and grab lunch on the way home. |
People might be surprised then. It looks like we're on track for opening tomorrow. Probably delayed, but open. |
Not true. No one can drive on ice. A little bit of ice maybe but otherwise no |
Disagree. Probably closed. |
+1 |
