Impressive. I live on a secondary road and don't see any black pavement.

Most of the neighborhoods in our area haven’t seen a plow yet.

According to the Snow Plow Tracker (did you know that existed!), Bethesda won't be plowed until 1am 1/8. Silver Spring says 5pm today.

There's something called the sun in the daytime

I’m out right now mid-county and the roads are very wet. With the amount of snow melting along the edges, it’s going be wet all day and refreeze tonight when the sun goes down. Whichever day we go back will need a delay so that the busses can at the very least see the road conditions. And remember, they aren’t the only ones on the road. High likelihood of accidents in general.

And I keep getting traffic alerts today- 270 has been a mess.

I walked my dog near Whitman around noon today. Lots are plowed and sidewalks are clear.

That said, there is a lot of variation from street to street in the neighborhood. Some have been plowed and others have not. Whittier (the main road in front of Whitman) is clear, but some surrounding streets, including my own, are not.

Unless MoCo can really get all of these streets plowed today, I am guessing closed again tomorrow.

Fingers crossed for one more day off

Our school is unplowed, unsalted. Our roads are largely the same. The county now says roads won't be clear by morning due to ice buildup and refreeze, even on plowed roads. I am expecting a closure tomorrow with a delay on Thursday.

Ice is a major problem in this area

Cars and buses can drive on snow and ice

+1 truck went through at least twice yesterday

I hope I’m wrong but I’m guessing closure due to ice. Last day with sun in forecast so hopefully things stabilize after that.

Same here. And our neighborhood is typically plowed very early on.

The snow has been done since around noon today, Tues. That gives almost 24 hours tp clear the roads and have a delayed start for Wednesday.
