Mr. President, I was honored to have witnessed your light shine with Christian faith up on top of a hill. You were an example to all of us of what true decency and faith look like.
May you rest in peace with your beloved Rosalynn at your side. Thank you, Mr. President. |
In the coming weeks, or months, I look forward to hearing some personal reflections from his Secret Service detail. I’ll bet they have some unique perspectives into the man that I can only imagine will enhance his reputation as a solid, godly human being. |
I totally forgot about his SS. They’ve actually already commented some years ago. What they reported wasn’t what we expected. I doubt they’ll say anything unkind now. |
Same. I worked for his organization doing Guinea worm eradication in South Sudan and Ghana. He was so well respected around the world. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/jimmy-carter-who-died-at-age-100-spared-millions-of-people-from-guinea-worm/ |
Trump did put out a statement they read on NPR. Guess even Trump couldn't think of a way to criticize him. Although he probably did not actually write it.

Only president aside from JFK (who killer was coincidentally assassinated by Jack Rubenstein) to stand up to Israel for being an apartheid state. RIP |
Nice how he made the response about himself. |

Carter wasn’t political and that was his downfall. Luckily for parts of the world that he was released from politics to go on and make a difference in people’s lives. With the Carter’s and the Carter Center’s help, the Guinea worm has been eradicated in 200 countries from Guinea worm, certified by WHO. The six countries that have not yet been certified as free from Guinea worm are Angola, Chad, Ethiopia, Mali, South Sudan. They are so close. |
He didn't write it. That's why |

+1 No man is perfect, but his strong Christian faith was a guiding light for him his entire life. |
I wonder if we'll ever be able to elect a a person like Jimmy Carter again. He was a rare leader |
Being Christian doesn’t make you a good politician. We need to knock it off with that narrative. It doesn’t make you a good person, it simply makes you a Christian. He was an intensely good man because he cared very much for other people, and that’s entirely possible without being Christian. |
We don't need to knock off anything. It's not just a narrative. His Christian faith was very strong, and it guided him. He said so. That fact doesn't mean you can't be a good person if not a Christian. |
