Envious crones here need to give it a rest.

You must not interact with actual 35 year olds.

Or she has paid big bucks for the same plastic look as NK.

I haven’t seen yet but I definitely want to. I found the trailers very hot and I find both actors to be sexually appealing in the roles.

That includes The Hours, Eyes Wide Shut and big little lies. She always seems llle she’s so deliberately ACTING. But she does sreem I’ll a nice person so I want it like her.

Not even To Die For?

That was her best role. And I liked her in her younger films. The one about being lost at sea and the one with Tom cruise …

I loved Rabbit Hole, Moulin Rouge, Big Little Lies and The Hours. Oh and thought she was breathtakingly beautiful in Cold Mountain.

in that order

Maybe we can all drop the obsessive focus on her looks? Every post is fixated on how old/young she looks.

Serious question: why would we do that? She is an actress who has spend a tremendous amount of effort and money to avoid the hallmarks of aging and to appear beautiful. NK has made this an issue.

One of the main issues in the movie is that she is so much older than him. There is a scene of her getting botox. The issue is relevant to discussing the film.

I think pp is not referencing the film, in which the plot centers around a large age gap sexual relationship, but more around commenters digging into her looks as an actress, not as the character.

Imo the casting was good and both characters look age appropriate for the roles they are playing.

I know that wasn't the intention and it's told through the lens of BDSM which I guess makes it edgier but still, it reminds me of something like "Taming of the Shrew." The message is "all women, no matter how powerful, want to be under the control of a man." I would be much more interested in this film if the power dynamic was flipped, and Nicole was the one in control. Sort of like the book "The idea of You", how the woman in that age gap relationship is GENUINELY in control and for that reason it seemed transgressive (the book only, not the movie, I haven't seen that). This just seems to me like rinse and repeat of the same gender roles we're always fed by Hollywood

YES. I watched the movie today and was confused where the so called empowerment part of the story would come in. It feels like they wanted an edgier 50 shades and forgot to dive deeper in the plot.

I'd like to know what, if any, work Tilda has done. She is freaking ageless.

Nicole just previously won a few years ago for Ricardos. I don't think babygirl is good enough for a another win that fast. I think this is going to Kate. I am not sure why they didn't VF didn't mention her more..

The ick I get when a 57 yo (my age) is with a 28 yo (my son’s age) is beyond describable.

Who the hell is these insane movies?

Also, I only know because I read one post above this that it’s about her being controlled by a man. Like give me a **** break.

For the people who like to watch this crap, can you explain to me what happened to you in your childhood?
