It's ok to size up

Lol. When I win the lottery and can replace my entire wardrobe, I might consider that.

At 5'4" and 55 years old, female, I want to weigh 125.

I have a large chest for my body type.

I am a 32 or 34 D or DD depending on the bra.

I miss being a 32B when I was a young teen.

I weighed 110 my senior year of high school.

I weighed 118 most of my adult life. I actually had someone who worked at a college gym and a medical doctor both women tell me I could lose weight. At 118 lbs.

I was very physically active, played tennis 🎾, swam in an indoor pool, went hiking, worked out using Winsor Pilates and The Firm VHS tapes and then DVDs. Did Buns of Steel.

I was never an athlete or on a team sport. I did play co-ed softball in my early 20s at work.

Hopefully young people are healthy and active because what else do they have to do?

Why? That’s overweight for that height.

No, it's not. You must be a person who believes that anything above "underweright" on the BMI chart is "overweight."

My mother's doctor suggested that she gain some weight at 5'4 and <110 and her head practically exploded. "Can you imagine weighing 120 pounds? I feel like i couldn't move at that weight?" (She loves to randomly repeat this story to me this because I weigh 120 and she thinks I'm chunky).

That sounds crazy. I'm 125lb at 5'8 (age 54) and have been lifting weights (heavy) regularly since I was 18. In no way do I look emaciated and geriatric. Everyone has a different body type.

Heaviest weight was 140 right before the pandemic.

I got into really great shape. Down to 122.

Gained it. Started losing again at 135. I start to feel uncomfortable in my clothes.

My chest becomes to big. My back hurts.

Trying for 122.

In 2017, I lost weight so easily, not sure how or why. I was down to 106. I knew that was too thin so I purposely started eating more bad food again.

I gain and lose weight based mostly on how much fast food I eat. I cut out fast food and the weight comes off easily.

I’m 5’1” and 110-115 (53 yo). If I go below that I start to look too skinny. So for 5’3” maybe 120 or so?

I cannot imagine that height and weight looking good in 50s. If you had a decent amount of muscle mass you would weigh more

Agree.

Ladies, you aren't 18-25 any more. It's okay. You do not have to weigh what you did in high school or when you got married. Bodies change. Stop paying attention to the scale. Skinny fat is not healthy, and doesn't look good.

This. About 120 is good for me, though I prefer how I look at 117-18.

+1
Exactly my numbers. Currently feeling the "fluffy" 125 the PP mentioned. I feel like I'm designed for famine - I can eat nothing and only ever get to 120.

Eat mozzarella sticks.

5'2" and 115 lbs. Working on converting fat ratio to more muscle for health via strength training. Both weigh the same but muscle is leaner and I can eat all I want! A few years ago 107 but the same size clothes fit. It really isn't the weight number.
