Ideal weight if you’re 5 ‘ 3” female in your 50s.

I am 5ft 2 and 145. I love the way I look! I used to be 115 and I looked like a bobble head crack head, although I did not see it at the time. I can not imagine being that thin anymore.

At 5’3” and in your 50s I’d say 120-130.

For me it would likely be around 130.

In my younger years, around 125 was perfect/. Anything less and I felt too tiny and helpless, even when I was lifting weights. But I think I would look older now of if I dropped down to that.

I'm 55 and 5'3" and 115 is my ideal weight. I typically fluctuate between 115 and 120.

105-150 depending on your build, muscle mass, natural body type.

How is blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, muscle tone and skin condition, etc. Those things matter more than mere weight.

No way. We are just used to overweight people being the standard. If you’re over 125 you may even be overweight and likely should lose weight. Guarantee you have fat around your waist and large breasts which are mostly fat.

Not more than 125

I’m 5’2.5” and look great at 106. At 109 I start to feel pudgier, and look good, just not stunning. I’m small framed, very small shoe size.

Even a few pounds makes a difference, especially if you gain weight in the stomach/face first, like I do.

I don’t really find this weight hard to maintain either. It’s really just the right weight for me, and where I feel most comfortable. Being heavier when I was postpartum was so uncomfortable and exhausting. I would gain 50-60 lbs with my babies and develop horrible gestational diabetes.

You don't seem to care about body type, but truly every body us different. Mine is short and curvy with big boobs (breastfeeding 3 kids didnt help). I've been as low as 112 (and people asked me if I was OK, they thought I was sick), and as high as 160 (not a good time or look for me). My comfortable place is 120-125, currently at 130 and on the way down, so I'm happy.

Yep. Sadly when you’re short even a few pounds make a difference.

God love you ... this is one of the saner weight threads I've seen.

I'm 5'5" and 54 years old. This is the first year that I've had to FIGHT weight.

This thread is making me feel like I don't have to fight QUITE so hard.

(Weigh 125. Fitter at 120. Can't shake vanity that wants me to be less.)

Best answer ever!! Thanks for the laugh.
