Are the republicans fear mongering on themselves now? Because Christian nationalism aside, I don’t really want to see what this country looks like without the ACA the FDA the NIH the IRS the DOE and the entire federal workforce. |
the riots were mostly right wingers using the Floyd protests to cause trouble. fact. |
False. Lankford dispelled the lie from the get go. You understand, Fox "News" paid just shy of a billion dollars for lying to its viewers, right? So why do you still believe them? |
I don't know about that. The progressives shriek loudly but I don't really think they even have that much power. In Congress, they had what, "The Squad?" Do the numbers - they represent less than 1% of Congress and even that bloc has not held as AOC has drifted out of the fold. They are not all that powerful in reality and I don't think Democrats should or need to cower in fear of them. But can the same be said of the Republicans? To me it seems the MAGAs now make up a significant majority of the GOP and they hold the rest in lockstep and will cast out and primary anyone who dares question them. |
As usual, the globalists at DCUM completely ignored HR2 ... H.R. 2 includes a laundry list of essential immigration reforms long fought for by immigration experts; * Plugging loopholes in the asylum system that are currently being exploited by economic migrants by raising the bar for “credible fear” claims and denying entry to aliens claiming asylum at the border who have passed through a safe third country on their way to the United States and failed to apply in that safe country; * Blocking the administration from continuing its catch-and-release policy by making most illegal aliens ineligible for parole or release from custody other than to be returned to their home country or to a contiguous country to await the adjudication of their asylum claim there (Remain in Mexico);. * Preventing family units who cross the border illegally from being released into the United States by requiring family units apprehended at the border to be detained, protecting them from exploitation and victimization by the cartels and traffickers; * Reining in the breathtaking and illegal abuse of parole that this administration has been using to create its own immigration system outside of the confines of the Immigration and Nationality Act; and * Installing teeth into efforts to deter visa overstays. Perhaps most importantly, the bill would require employers to check the legal status of new hires through the free, easy-to-use E-Verify system. By making it much harder for illegal aliens to find jobs, the reform would deter would-be migrants from ever journeying to the United States. and yet Democrats have shown they are not serious about controlling immigration, and it seems that increasing immigration is a policy choice by Democrats. no US worker should ever vote for the current globalist, anti-worker Democrats |
The Lankford Bill would have accomplished just about everything in HR2, whereas HR 2 had MANY gaps and holes in it that were addressed by Lankford's bill. For one, there is NOT A SINGLE MENTION of fentanyl anywhere in it. And many experts pointed out that HR2 would in fact probably worsen child trafficking and other things. The Border Patrol Union ENDORSED the Lankford bill. It was a better bill. |
Down ballot: Republicans have a slim majority in the House 221-214 majority including current vacancies.
New maps: Democrats need to gain only 5 seats to win control of the House. Democrats have a few paths to achieving it. 21 Republican seats are competitive with 15 of them being toss-ups or already favoring Democrats. 8 Republican seats are in districts in the deep blue states New York and California. |
So this! She's a gun-owning prosecutor who supports fracking. So sick of ppl who label everyone "far left" just bc we don't want to separate children from their mother. |
I'm afraid Trump is going to win, so I'm telling myself his administration won't be as bad as his critics fear it will be. It'll be over in four years and we won't have to deal with him again. |
I’m not sure if the rioting/protests will be worse if Harris or Trump loses. Anyone prepping? For those planning to leave the country, will it be safe to fly? Will airports be functional?
Lots of doom posting on DCUM suggests we all need bunkers. |
if Kamala really is on the side of US workers and not educated elites, she would jump on this ...
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) has introduced a major piece of legislation that would require most employers to use E-Verify within two years of enactment. Large employers, federal, state, and local agencies and federal and state contractors would need to comply within six months. The bill would also make the E-Verify program permanent and reinstate the no-match letter program to help identify the 7 million illegal aliens currently holding non-agricultural jobs. S.4529, the Mandatory E-Verify Act of 2024, would: - Phase in E-Verify over 18 months, starting with the largest companies first. - Require the use of E-Verify for those contracted at day labor sites and other referral or recruitment services. - Protect employers who use the system in good faith from liability if the system makes an error on eligibility. - Protect states' and localities' authority to revoke business licenses of employers who fail to use E-Verify as required by this Act. - Significantly increase the penalties for employers who refuse to use the system, or who intentionally try to game it. - Notify employers when there is suspicious, multiple uses of the same Social Security number and requires the employers to run the employee through E-Verify. Please send a message to your U.S. Senator(s) and urge him/her to cosponsor S. 4529, the Mandatory E-Verify Act of 2024. |
just more rewriting recent history, just amazing how educated elites will twist to preserve their fantasy. As usual, the globalists at WAPO completely ignored HR2 H.R. * Preventing family units who cross the border illegally from being released into the United States by requiring family units apprehended at the border to be detained, protecting them from exploitation and victimization by the cartels and traffickers; * Reining in the breathtaking and illegal abuse of parole that this administration has been using to create its own immigration system outside of the confines of the Immigration and Nationality Act; and * Installing teeth into efforts to deter visa overstays. why Kamala will lose - her drive to amnesty!
I cannot understand how any Member of Congress can truly believe that passing an amnesty for illegal aliens is the answer to the border crisis! According to Politico, a group of six U.S. Representatives are working on an amnesty "compromise" that would legalize DACA illegal aliens and increase legal immigration numbers. Even if this amnesty legislation contains token "enforcement" provisions, passing it during a border crisis would only encourage more people to come to the U.S. illegally. The House of Representatives passed legislation last year to end the border crisis: H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act. The Senate has refused to seriously consider this legislation, even though it would end the current crisis and do a lot to prevent future crises from occurring. To remind you, H.R. 2 would end the border crisis by plugging the loopholes in our asylum system that are exploited by illegal economic migrants, restoring its integrity and protecting it for legitimate asylum seekers; blocking the Biden administration from continuing its policies of catch-and-release, thus deterring future waves of illegal migrants; putting a stop to the surges of family units and unaccompanied alien children, protecting them from exploitation and victimization by the cartels and traffickers; putting teeth into efforts to deter visa overstays; reining in the breathtaking and illegal abuse of parole; and instituting mandatory nationwide E-Verify, which would shut off the "jobs magnet" for illegal immigration while protecting jobs for American workers. pass H.R. 2 now! |
+1 I think they will move right |
Sexism.... but that's doesn't exist in this campaign. |
