Even though pregnancies like Cox's are doomed and can endanger a woman's life, "being pregnant with a genetically abnormal baby isn't an emergency" so f off, you have to go to term, even if it is more dangerous for you, even if you have to suffer 3 or more months of carrying a baby who will die, while having to tell strangers and colleagues that no, you are not excited about the birth, that it is is dying baby, and even if that means you never get pregnant again because you've lost your window of opportunity for having another baby (yes, there are some of us who struggle with fertility and know we cannot give up even 3 months of opportunity to try). That is just cruel.

You posted this example as evidence of when doctors felt a women’s health was in immediate danger and she needed an abortion and the courts overruled the doctors medical recommendations. But that isn’t what happened at all here. The doctors felt she didn’t meet the medical exception criteria for her health being at likely at major risk and they wouldn’t give her an abortion. So she went to court to try and overrule her doctors and get an exception, which the court denied and sided with the doctors. So she went out of state to get one.

And you are completely ignoring the facts to fit your narrative - notice how you did NOT respond to the fact that women who are carrying doomed fetuses and are denied abortions are faced with the cruelty of going to term against their will - 3 or 4 months or maybe even more - with a baby they know will die, having to answer questions left and right from strangers or colleagues or neighbors who don't know better than to ask about the fetus who it turns out is dying or going to die as soon as it is born. Waking up every morning knowing there is a dying baby inside them. As someone who moved from the deep south the Maryland, I don't plan to go back, even though COL is higher here. Would be afraid I couldn't afford to move back up to the mid Atlantic and be priced out. It's really nice having many nice free parks, and leaf pickup, and lots of good libraries; my taxes pay for quite a bit.

Well she died because she was poor and didn't have the resources to have an abortion. The people who claim to be against abortion often do have the financial means and social networks to access abortion if a loved one needs one.

Why do people flock to the Florida coast even as they repeatedly get hammered with hurricanes? They think they'll be ok. That's why. But, lots of people in those areas are thinking about leaving.
