And if they don’t, they should.

The crappy thing is that IP tracking won’t hold up on this – if I live in Arlington, with my kids in APS schools, but work in DC or FFX or anywhere outside of Arlington and I answer that survey at lunchtime, it would be coming from outside Arlington. But I’m still an Arlington resident and taxpayer.

The Billy Bobs and the Mary Sues in here are outraged! Outraged I say! About how they were caught and are trying to find any reason now to justify this woman’s actions.

lol. APE should just apologize and kick Karen out of the group. They did not send their best people to ACPS.

Hi Jane, I'm not sure how you got my name but I am a proud supporter of banning phones bell to bell. Not really sure who APE is though. Was I supposed to click on those dubious links in the OP to find out?

That is true. First intelligent comment here today.

If you don’t know who APE is, why are you even commenting, lol?

This whole thread is about people weighing into real issues and policies when they have no business or investment in doing so.

I mean, aside from FCPS that we kicked out of the forum years ago, this isn't a forum just for Arlington posters. Sorry not sorry.

DP. And I’ll call myself Paula Lee. I get that part. This is DCUM. The most unofficial place ever. But when you solicit comment from people outside of your community to comment in actual official forums where decision makers use the info to inform hyperlocal policy decisions, that’s a different situation entirely.

I can't believe we are fighting over whether or not kids should have cell phones in class. Crazy.

Then what is "play to win"? Win what? Cellphones in class?

You should read OOP Susi’s first comment. She doesn’t want cellphone’s in classrooms either. She calls APE out for soliciting comments on APS’ proposed policies in APS official channels from people who don’t even send their children to Arlington schools.

I agree that it’s unethical. I hope some school board members and central staff are aware of this issue by now. Gross.

Who is Susi? I feel like this is a private conversation that the rest of us can't follow. And I live in Arlington.

I’ll wait. ⏱️

This is the real answer. 👏

I think it’s just a running joke in the thread. Someone started naming people when answering them, and it quickly took off.
