APE screenshots: this is how they play to win

I am not OP, but in another DCUM thread, Arlington Parents for Education (APE) solicited comments from a neighboring school divisions’ advocacy group to influence APS’ cellphone policy.

I don’t care how you feel about cellphones in the classroom. I don’t like them either. I however respect those who don’t agree with me in my community and will not try to influence policy by asking 5,000 “friends” from elsewhere to weigh in.

It ruins APS’ good faith efforts to engage with OUR community. We don’t need outsiders influencing our debate.

APS should stop engaging with this 501c4 immediately. They have shown again and again who they are.

Good, we need neighboring jurisdictions to support away for the day too.

You missed the point, Jack. APS policy doesn’t affect Alexandria so why should anyone there comment in APS’ policy comment window?

You are a terrible person who just wants to win. So much for those who actually live in our community.

Who cares? Find a new hobby. The APE obsession has run its course.

Who boy. They can’t even admit they’re wrong when they are caught red handed.

Sad.

Is it okay to bring in the ACLU, NAACP, ADL into local school issues? I'd say yes (some of the time) but then people like you think individual neighbors should be excluded? A majority of parents, teachers, and probably admin don't want cell phones in schools already since Duran's policy has been more restrictive for each subsequent revision. Plus APS has already invested in the pouches and the district doesn't understand what sunk costs are. So this survey is useless anyway. Maybe a policy in APS will affect policy in ACPS, just as APS was influenced by FCPS and VDOE.

I’m in Loudoun county. I remember when LCPS was crazy town and people were driving from everywhere but Loudoun to disrupt our school board meetings. A huge chunk of them were from Arlington. Guess they formed their own group! Have fun over there! 😂

And who calls themselves APE? lol!

Once again, APE demonstrating just how unethical they are.

WTF is wrong with this woman? She’s so unhinged.

Still don’t need to solicit comment from people outside of our community. What is wrong with you?

What do you mean? That seems pretty transparent, not trying to hide the who or what

You already lost... by a landslide. This is just a survey to see by how much.

Says who? You?? The policy isn’t even agreed upon yet.

I just hope the school board sees these shenanigans and makes up their own mind.

If this issue was in the bag, why ask people from outside the community to weigh in officially?

I’ll wait. ⏱️
