Because she thinks it’s the right thing, apparently. But your obsession is far worse than hers. I’m actually worried for you. |
You should actually be worried about APS. But then you're part of APE, so you're good with what's happening. |
|
We’ve all seen her behavior on AEM. It’s pretty clear why. |
It doesn’t appear to be “such a big effort by APE” though. Someone posted in an Alexandria FB page mentioning it and APE admin posted on their own page. It got a couple likes? I really don’t think anyone really cares if HS kids have their phones all day. |
Unhinged parents of early ES kids do. |
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this topic. Posting in an Alex. group when someone upthread asked what Arlington was doing re: cellphones doesn’t strike me as unhinged. Sharing info, and in her own name (not being shady and posting anonymously). This isn’t some evil conspiracy by APE. |
You are misrepresenting what happened. She clearly asked them to respond to the survey to support the APE position because she was concerned about people (AKA actual Arlington parents of teens/tweens) opposing it. “ APS is gathering feedback until Oct 20. We are concerned that members of the school board are not behind it enough and could not approve it. Opponents are organizing against it so if anyone in this group wants to submit a positive comment, that would be much appreciated!!” |
Some posters in this thread should have their phones taken away. There are a million issues in APS and I don’t understand the hyper fixation on a Facebook post for a survey that APS will simply ignore.
|
I love that Jeff covered this nonsense in yesterday's recap. |
OOP, your obsession with this woman is frighteningly unhinged. She posted a link to a public survey in a Facebook comment section. A survey that had been published for weeks, and that was a few days from expiring. A survey that has no real-world impact. Get over it. Somehow, someway, you will survive this trauma.
You're here whining about "doxing," but thank God we all know who you are, because your obsession is frankly frightening, and it would be worse if you had somehow managed to stir up all this nonsense anonymously. |
The original poster is off their meds. But so is APE. Is there any other nonprofit organization you know that comes on anonymous forums to defend themselves and stifle conversation? The deflection is real. OP didn't do themselves any favors but APE shows their a** every single time. |
Haven’t you done the same? Sending an email to a certain PTA listserve flagging the opportunity to provide feedback? You don’t have to be an APS parent to join that specific PTA or even live in Arlington. So by you sending the info out, are you any different? “Hi —PTA Community: I am flagging this opportunity to Share Your Input on the Revised Cell Phone Policy. On Monday, APS reposted a revised version of the Policy J-30, Student Use of Cell Phones and Personal Electronic Communication Devices. APS is seeking staff and community input by Oct. 20.” |
Do Alexandria parents even join Arlington PTAs? Asking for many friends. 99.9% of PTA members are parents of the students who go to the school. The rest would be alumni. There may be a few randos and I would be concerned about them. But I doubt that posting to an Alexandria listserv will get even 1% of the audience you're looking for. Let alone forwarding the survey to mommy and her 3 friends. |
No, I don’t solicit random people from another county to skew results on an APS survey. |
