Since APE is so proud of themselves, they should email each school board member personally, letting them know that they wanted ACPS parents to weigh in on our cellphone policy in development.

You're not talking about the overwhelming Democrat school board that jumps aboard every virtue signaling agenda? Apparently this is one of the only issues where there is bipartisan agreement.

I am a democrat. I voted for Biden. Calling those of us who support a cell phone ban MAGA and APE and Trumpers is not only inaccurate, it’s just name calling for the sake of demonizing my views. It also makes me think you don’t have persuasive substantive arguments. Can you not drop the politics and move on to the benefits and detriments of cell phone usage by teens in an academic environment? Not every issue is red/blue.

The preferred policy of APS is away for the day, possibly with pouches. It's your job to convince them why your addicted kid needs a cellphone. Blaming a few Alexandrians won't move the needle. It may, in fact, lead them to conclude that their other neighbor parents also agree with those in Arlington and Fairfax.
