Maybe Youngkin should clean his own house first…every Republican accusation is a confession.

No; you would be given an opportunity to prove you are a legal citizen and can legally vote. They don’t remove a voter until the voter has been given a chance to prove they are a legal voter. |
Our laws state that only citizens are legally allowed to vote in our elections. 365 days a year, our laws are in place. You criminals are happy to break our laws to allow non-citizens to illegally vote in our elections. |
Youngkin apparently made a subrosa agreement with Trump to turn Virginia Red. Youngkin is as corrupt as trump and is probably removing legal voters. Don't forget Youngkin made his millions working for The Carlisle Group a private equity whose greed is responsible for at least one death. |
“Probably?” Citation he’s removing legal voters? |
Dumbo, no state allows non citizens to vote in Federal elections. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS ARE FEDERAL ELECTIONS!!!!!! If you have evidence of noncitizens allowed to vote in a Federal Election then produce this evidence. Otherwise, stop lying! |

Nothingburger. Want to vote? Show proof of citizenship. Why isn’t everyone behind this?
|
+1 how is it even controversial? It’s the law. |
I entirely agree with you, but what Youngkin has attempted to do is illegal, because of the law. Should be easy to understand since you're such a law-abiding, upstanding citizen, PP

30 Years of Non-Citizen Voting in Takoma Park: November marks the 30th anniversary of the first non-U.S. residents voting in Takoma Park. The landmark initiative first passed by the Takoma Park City Council in 1992 gave immigrants—regardless of their legal status—the right to vote in municipal elections. In Takoma Park, nearly one-third of the residents are foreign-born, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Here is another: "Noncitizens are eligible to vote if they are at least 18 years old as of Election Day, have been a D.C. resident for at least 30 days before the election" <- You only have to live in DC for 30 days to vote in local elections. This means that illegal immigrants can and do vote in DC and Maryland. I am perfectly okay with Younkin making sure that the right to vote in my state of Virginia is only a right of US citizens. |
President Biden address this already, very early in his term. It’s right in a White House transcript. The problem is, as the president explained, blacks and other minorities often don’t have access to the internet or don’t know how to get a drivers license. So it’s unfair to require a drivers license to vote. Biden explained it all already. |

No. They are not. There is a cooling off period before elections for a reason— to prevent a wide scale purge of voters that “accidentally” include eligible citizen voters who don’t know until Election Day they were purged and can’t prove they are lawful voters in time. If this was actually important to Youngkin, he’s had 2 1/2 years before the cooling off period to do it. He didn’t start until after it became too late to purge voters under VA law. |
|
Look - Governor Youngkin just committed voter fraud. He’s a criminal who violated laws pertaining to federal elections. He is not allowed to purge voter rolls within 90 days of a federal election.
Law breaker - Glenn Youngkin. LOCK. HIM. UP. |
Yes. Youngkin had 2 1/2 years as governor to legally undertake this project t to purge voter roles. He waited until right before the election instead— which does violate VA law. Because all the black and brown citizens he “accidentally purges, citizens who accidentally checked the wrong box on a DMV form will now show up to vote and be told the are not eligible. And may be threatened with criminal charges for trying to vote— even if they are eligible and it’s Youngkin’s mistake. And if they were actually trying voting illegally, it would be a crime, and they could be prosecuted, without going through a voter purge AFTER EARLY VOTING HAS STARTED. Youngkin is so serious about this and considers it such a problem that he ignored it for more than 2 years. The cooling off period serves a purpose. And, there is zero reason Youngkin couldn’t have done this a year ago if he suspected a significant number of illegal voters. This is straight out voter suppression and intimidation of American citizens who seem like they might be noncitizen immigrants. How many illegal voters were convicted of voting or trying to vote in 2021? I know it’s si blue digits. And I know one such illegal voter was Youngkin’s son. It would be nice if Republicans at least tried to win without cheating and disenfranchising legal voters. |
