Hey Maga voters - this is what you are voting for! |
Par for the course. Trump oversaw the loss of hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs his first time around. |
And UBS reports that his tariffs would bring the S&P 500 down 10% by next year.
Bye bye 401k. https://www.forbes.com/sites/dereksaul/2024/10/10/trumps-tariffs-could-push-sp-500-down-10-next-year-ubs-says/ |
DCUM Trumpsters said they don’t like economists. It’s feelings over facts. |
And they get their feelings from listening to Trump and sycophantic, lying talking heads and propagandists who withhold the facts from them. |
Watch. They’ll watch Trump crash the economy again and call it fake news or the fault of the “Deep State”. I’m sure those posts are already ready to go. |
It will not go down by 10% try 40-50%. It will be all out panic in the markets. |
If you want products that are made that meet high environmental standards and treat workers well, you should support tarrifs.
Consuming dirty energy sources contributes to the climate crisis. |
Exactly. These tariffs should reflect the actual cost, including all externalities. |
No. You should support strong trade agreements. We should be importing goods that comply with high labor and environmental standards. Not slicing off our noses to spite our faces. The United States should become a leader in producing green energy and green products which the Biden administration is focused on. Also, it’s “tariffs.” |
No, they will just blame Democrats and Joe Biden. |
So why are you supporting more dirty energy in the US? |
They just want to own the libs and protect fetuses (not already born people.)
There is really no critical thinking at all. |
I’ll bite, even though I’m not sure I’m voting for Trump. Honestly, I don’t know if the policies will improve the economy, at least in terms of its size and the size of our 401ks. But if Trump‘s policies lead to people buying less crap from Amazon, then that is a big win for the environment. If Trump’s policies result in people having to spend a higher percentage of their income on basic necessities, that’s also good for the environment. It’s not fun to think about buying less gadgets and clothes, but shrinking the economy and producing more goods in the U.S. where we have labor and environmental standards might be good for the planet. |
