But if Trump‘s policies lead to people buying less crap from Amazon, then that is a big win for the environment. If Trump’s policies result in people having to spend a higher percentage of their income on basic necessities, that’s also good for the environment. It’s not fun to think about buying less gadgets and clothes, but shrinking the economy and producing more goods in the U.S. where we have labor and environmental standards might be good for the planet.[/quote]
